Brisgard:LOD has a kick-ass Forge Point Club
Brisgard:LOD is a mature, established guild. Our Forge Point clubs average more than 50,000 contributed Forge Points per month. We use a very flexible spreadsheet based approach, and we get it done.
You already have several Great Building, and have perhaps been contributing at least 4 Forge Points per day to various GBs without much to show for your efforts. We can probably help you do far better.
Here’s a typical activity sequence for our Forge Point Clubs.
1. Pick one of the targeted Great Buildings that looks interesting.
2. Contribute as many Forge Points as you wish, until it levels.
3. The contributed Forge Points will raise your Targeting Points.
4. When the targeted GB levels, you’ll get a bonus of around 20% of the FPs that you contributed, either directly as part of an award package, or else indirectly as a shortfall that increases your Targeting Points.
5. When your Targeting Point total reaches plus 50% of the size of your current level, and/or half of the remaining points, we’ll target your designated Great Building.
6. Several FP Club members will then jump on it, and will rapidly level your Great Building, which will drop your Targeting Points to minus 50% of the size of your previous level.
7. If your Great Building stalls because folks have already locked up the award slots that they wanted, just go ahead level it. You’ll have the most to gain at that point as you’ll get the benefits from leveled Great Building, and even though you’re the owner you’ll get the same 20% shortfall that anybody else would have gotten for those final few Forge Points.
8. Rinse and Repeat.
· We use a moving window, and only retain two months of leveling data. If your Targeting Points are yo-yoing between plus/minus 50% of the size of your current GB level, the archive will only be a minor speed bump.
· Owner leveled buildings are allowed, mostly because smartphones don’t have access to the messaging system. The TOs & FROMs will obviously cancel, so your Targeting Points won’t change while you’re leveling your own building.
· When you reach 80%, we’ll jump in with enough coat tailers to ensure that all of the FP award packages are collected.
· You’ll still get your 20% bonus, as a shortfall, so your Targeting Points will jump a bit each time you finish a level.
· Balanced Forge Point swaps are similarly allowed, although we wait until 90% to jump in, because the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] award slot will already have been captured.
· While we do have some rules for our Forge Point Clubs, they’re posted in our Guild > Design forum, the rules exist primarily so that we can head off rogue contributors who are shooting bystanders, thereby crashing their victim’s Targeting Points.
· The rogue contributors seldom pay attention, unfortunately, until their own Targeting Points crash when we archive the oldest leveling data, and their victims are made whole. They’re then horrified that we would have the NERVE to write off their nonperforming investments. You can lead a horticulture, but you can’t make her think.
