Helicopter attacking

Now I understand you cannot attack Helios with artillery units because of the "flying" skill. But why in the name of all that is holy can I still attack them with something like a great sword warrior or heavy knight? (must be carrying a really big sword lol)

Dude, you can throw that sword in their main rotor, artillery just have little shells that fly right over.
