Rejected How about getting a Second City to build?

This is not a "settlement." This is a Second City. Your Second City can be named.

On your Second City, you get an ordinary Harbor (like the one to the north of your First City). It has no Arctic Future harbor or Oceanic Future harbor. The Second City also has no Tavern, Castle, Antique Dealer, Spaceport, PvP Arena, GE Dock or GBG portal. (You have to select your First City map to access all of these features.)

Otherwise, it's identical to the map of your First City. (This saves Inno the cost of creating a new map.) You can get incidents (polar bears with red umbrellas, kites stuck in a tree etc.) on your Second City map. You can toggle between your First City & Second City, using a button on the upper left corner of each city map, above the Story Quests.

Your Second City cannot be started until you reach Arctic Future or later. It costs 2 million Medals, 500 million Coins, 100 million Supplies & 100 Forge Points.

When you start your Second City, it looks a bit like a brand new Bronze Age city at the end of the tutorial when you started the game. However, the Town Hall is from your current Age & automatically upgrades whenever you enter a new Age. Also, the other structures from your Bronze Age start city got replaced by Arctic Future structures as follows:

  • 2 Huts = 2 Clock Tower Apartments
  • 1 Stilt House = 1 Clock Tower Apartment
  • 1 Long House = 1 Clock Tower Apartment
  • 1 Hunter = 2 Crystal Flower Stores
  • All Trails = Arctic Sideways
  • All Decorations = Arctic Flowers
You cannot use the Reward Expansions to expand your Second City. Those are reserved for your First City. You can, however, use Victory Expansions & Diamond Expansions. The first Victory Expansion costs 1 million Medals, 250 million Coins, 50 million Supplies & 50 Forge Points. Further Victory Expansions have costs that are scaled up exponentially in costs (for example, the 2nd costs 1.2 million Medals, 300 million Coins, 60 million Supplies & 60 Forge Points). There will be NO LIMIT to the number of Victory Expansions you can buy in your Second City, except that your Second City cannot become larger than your First City.

Other than all of that, anything you can built in your First City can be built in your Second City. Any GBs that you have all nine BPs for, but you don't have the space in your First City? Event Buildings that have been sitting around in your inventory for a whole year? Build them there. You can build any ordinary buildings from your current Age or any prior Age in your Second City. Each City's population is independent from the other City. It has to be used to support buildings in its own City. Also, your Second City has its own Happiness to take care of, so you need GBs, Culture Buildings & Decorations for it. Otherwise, all resources you gather or produce go into your general inventory.

Generally, the Second City functions much like a Martian Colony, except that it uses its own Happiness meter rather than Life Support.

It enhances the player experience since:

  • It uses up excess resources that have been piling up (Medals, Coins, Supplies & FPs)
  • It allows you to build Event Buildings & GB BPs that have also been piling up
  • It enables you to build a larger "modern" army quickly when you advance to a new Age
  • It also enables you to produce "modern" goods faster when you advance to a new Age (until you get to Mars)
