PvP tournaments

There is a territory that has an icon for player versus player tournaments but I do not know how to enter them to become the champion can someone advise.

You need to conquer that territory first. After that you are just in when you are fighting.

Yes I did conquer the area first. It appears that even to try and do battle to take a territory once I click battle or auto battle nothing happens.

You need to fight with units ogf the same age as the tower you conquered.

@Agent327 - I just placed 1st in PVP tournament for EMA but I am in IA. I got my medals but no tower icon to place in my city - is that because I am not EMA yet? Will I get it once I've aged up or am I out of luck since there will be no more PVP towers soon?

You do not get a tower icon to place in your city. All you get are the medals.
