Here is a quote from wiki which I find confusing:

The player automatically joins the latest opened auction when he visits the Antiques Dealer while no auction is running and the auction cool down timer has run out. If the last opened auction has 50 players allotted, a new auction will be opened for the player to join.

Can you please explain what this means?

It sounds like only up to 50 players can take part in auction, and then what happens with other people?
I just don't understand what is meant by this, can there be 2 or more auctions at same time? each for 50 people?
