You can be a member of 140 different 1.9 threads technically but you have to be friends , neighbors or a guildie to contribute( this is your only limit)

I would caution to not place the same Great Building in more than one thread at a time. Players who use them usually have rules to not place the same Great Building position in multiple 1.9x threads due to two players taking the position at about the same time. It can be a problem.
