Calculation of % completion for GE championship

DeletedUser25235

How does the calc treat changes in guild membership during the week?

"The Guild with the highest percentage of solved encounters will be this week’s Champion." Is the % based on the number of guild members at he beginning of the week (Each championship cycle) or at the end?

People joining after it started are not counted, as they can't compete in it. I think (not positive on this) that who leave are still counted as they had a chance to provide some progress. The alternative would effectively require that if someone leave a guild their progress is removed from GE, and that could cause an uproar at a guild losing power.

Yes, everything about GE is fixed at the start of the expedition, and nothing changes in regards to guild membership.

So no bringing in a "ringer" that can easily complete the GE just to boost a Guild's score.

Not that anyone would ever think of doing such a thing of course....

To bring in a 'ringer', you just need to do it before the GE starts for the Week.

Does anyone know how the percentage is calculated? I've been trying to do the math and I can't get the same percentage that's being displayed. If we have 59 guild members, and some complete encounters in level 4, how do I calculate the overall percentage that is shown between the guilds competing?

DeletedUser25273

Completion % = 100% * GE Encounters Completed / (Number of Guild Members eligable for GE * 48)
If everyone completes level 3 you get 100%

But how do I account for the guild members that do encounters in level 4? For example, they could have an encounters score of 56/48. How do I add those in?

Use 133% instead of 100% and 64 instead of 48.

No need to change the formula. 100% is 48/48, if they do 64/48 they get a 133% score. (if you do change the formula, you need to use 133.33333333333333333333%)

Ok, if you could please bear with me here and help me do the formula you explained. If this is a sample of 20 guild members encounters, what would my final percentage be?

1. 64/48
2. 48/48
3. 41/48
4. 60/48
5. 47/48
6. 46/48
7. 51/48
8. 50/48
9. 22/48
10. 32/48
11. 28/48
12. 40/48
13. 28/48
14. 43/48
15. 32/48
16. 36/48
17. 16/48
18. 27/48
19. 35/48
20. 52/48

DeletedUser25273

I tally 798 completions which gives you 100*796/(20*48) = 83.125%

I guess guilds with fewer players would have an advantage in GE based on formula.

In that it is 'easier' for those guilds to get a higher percentage (because of less players having to participate) yes they do have an advantage in GE. After all 5 players participating out of 10 beats 5 out of 15. Of course that is assuming neither guild has been pushing GE participation. Also one reason why guilds are sored by size.

As many things with FoE there is a lack of explanation. While level 4 is not supposed to count it definitely does.
The current GE trophy percentage bar is calculated with this formula:
Guild members eligible X 48 (Level 3 completion total) = 100% but All completed encounters (Including level 4) count. So if you have 2 members = 2x48= 96 completed encounters for 100% but 1 member can do 64 encounters because of level 4 and the other can do 32 (complete only level 2) and have 100% (Yes I know you have to have 3 members to compete in GE)

Now if anyone knows the numbers each persons era contributes to crown payout and the completion points required for each payout level, would be greatly appreciated.
