Perhaps pre-calculus, but still not calculus then. That’s algebra II at best.
It's possible to do it with high school Algebra II and Pre-Calculus, but only for small numbers.
It's obvious that University Calculus is needed to totally understand this principle -

Without Calculus, it's nearly impossible to convert the dozenal numbers back to the decimal format.
