Can you return to old technology?

The last four technologies of the early middle ages are: Crop rotation, Physics, Fertilization, and Monarchy. If I unlock Physics, I can advance to the high middle ages. Crop rotation, Fertilization, and Monarchy give expansions, but at the moment I prefer to advance to the high middle ages; can I later return to complete those three?

You can unlock whichever researches you want at any point. Advancing to a new age does not block you out of the previous age's researches. :)
