[Question] Do I need Diamonds?

My Egyptian Settlement. To Unlock Pottery it requires 30 Barley I have 80. It requires 30 Egyptians I have 80. I have the supplies and money and the space. On the picture it says 51 Diamonds. Do I really need to pay Dimonds?

You probably don't have enough Diplomacy. That seems to be the only thing you didn't mention.

No - nothing in a settlement requires diamonds.

If its real close you can use diamonds. If all you need is 2 goods you want to wait 4 hours for it. Also egypt has impedements that can be removed which mess up your ability to place stuff. also there is the negots with its 10 diamonds. what so you rather waste goods and try try again.
