Do the GVG maps expand?

Was wondering if more sectors will be added to the GVG maps or not. Take CA for instance, down in south eastern area there is a bunch of sectors with rocks. Will these open up eventually into playable sectors? Or is this as big as they get?

I'd like to know why the Guild Continent Maps are different from the Individual Age maps. The GCM shows quite a few more sectors available than are actually open once you get into the Age Maps.
