How do I determine who are friends I have invited so that I may choose one to delete when out of room emergency need arises?

You can't at this time. It is something that many players wish were possible. A current proposal (and many in the past) is attempting to integrate that into the game through a change to the friend invite system in general. They never go anywhere (at least not so far).
