Is it possible to get desktop notifications on the PC?

Hey, I was wondering if it were possible to get desktop notifications, like the mobile push notifications, but on the PC instead. I really need an alarm for messages, finished productions, etc. I've looked all over my settings, but I can't seem to find it

Why not post a poperly formatted idea and see what the community wants? Off hand, I'm inclined to vote yes, why not have this function on PC as we have in mobile.
