A player should get some ranking points for donating medals to the guild just as donating goods.

No, because that would benefit a minority of players that are in GvG guilds that play the AA map, mostly OFE players. Players who are getting plenty of ranking points already from their high level Arcs, Observatories and Atomiums (which they now keep claiming are worthless.)

Yes, I'm sure that the OP with a level 90 arc and the ability to level his Kraken to 90 in less than 2 days would totally not benefit.
