Just looking for players from this guild.. can't seem to find out how to look at a guild without being in one

at the game screen go to your lower left
click global(3 people)>global ranking(olive branches)>Guilds(center tab)
type the name of the guild in the name field
view the guild

Lol i was figuring this out as you posted. Is there a way to request to join other than getting an invite from an inviter? IE asking for an invite

nope, to join a guild you must receive an invite from within.
message the guild leader or designated inviter and tell them about yourself (how long you've played, current level,how often you log on)
then it's up to them
your other option is to PM the guild leader here on the forum (if you can find them)
