Ive been using AI to fight my battles in the various quests, but want to try to fight manually, but it seems so complicated and I usually lose, is there a good guide for Manual fighting?

Basic rules of military tactics [in no particular order]:

• never split your force;
• protect your ranged units with a screen of melee units;
• protect your flanks;
• use available cover

The computer generated battle tactics are sophomoric at best and easily defeated. You need to practice, practice, practice.
