Observatory Support Pool Question

Does an observatory need to be collected from every day to help with the support pool?
Example: you have a guild member who stopped playing, so they are not collecting, does their observatory/basil/CDM still help your guild?
Im trying to see if there is any benefit of keeping them in the guild or just removing them.
I do know that if they are not collecting the observatory will not add goods to your guild treasury, but im just not sure about how the support pool works.

The Observatory's support pool effect is always on, just as Deal Castle's and St. Basil's are. The resources that can be collected from these GBs are independent of the support pool effect.
