Practice posting your screenshot here

DeletedUser

Since the developers didn't give us any way to practice the exercise of posting a screenshot to the forum and I am a noob at something like that, I thought I would try to make one. Please try your best here.

this one has more than one address but none of them are valid, we would not be able to salvage an image from this-DeM2

this link works but links to your album and not an individual pic, it also lacks the bb code img tags on either end, if this were posted for a contest we could repair it. -DeM2

I have added notes to each of your attempts. This could have been tested in a pm though.

pm = private message. If you click the name of a forum-goer here you get a menu up that allows you to send them a private message. You can experiment by sending the image over private messages and seeing if it works.

Note: sending to me won't help you much. I can tell you if I can see the image, but I have no idea of how to post images on this forum. Sorry.

here is what i do:

save your image, in the case of a full screen shot, reduce it.
then I go to http://postimage.org/ (photobucket should work)
upload and copy the "direct link"
paste it into a post with the img tags on either side. [ img ] [ /img ] (no spaces between the brackets and letters)

Have the game as your active window (top of window is blue), hit ALT-Printscreen keys, go into something like MSPaint, paste the screenshot from the clpipboard (should see the game screen in MSPaint or whatever) and then save it.

Just testing here, since I don't know anybody to PM... [FONT=Tahoma, Calibri, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]

My suggestion would be to crop this image before uploading it to tiny pic (the image host you used) that will allow you to eliminate the white border and make it fit easier into the forum.

A test shot only.

paint crop fail. No worries, I can fix that. Rookie mistake.

Will this work with a Guild Forum in the game, or an in game message?

Nope, messages do not have any BB code whatsoever, and the BB code in guild forums is limited. I haven't tried adding images, but I believe that tag also doesn't work there.
