A lot of people think HTML-5 is great (myself included), but there are some cons that I've heard about. What are your pros and cons for the HTML part of FoE?
Html-5 is horrid. On one world I'm stuck in Html-5 and wish I could go back. Too many bugs and slow performance. Some bugs that keep showing up. People's taverns (including my own) don't show the tablecloth. All the tables look like they have no tablecloth so you don't know what they have. Battles show a black screen so you can't see terrain and sometimes even the units disappear. I am only thankful that I only got stuck with HTML on one world.
HTML 5 version doesn't work on my laptops (says no 3d accelaerator or something which I definitely have) and I needed to go to my ipad version to switch it back to flash.
3d is enabled. Not sure which settings you're referring to but I have it set up to be full power when plugged in.With it being a laptop, it could be your power settings. If it is not, your browser might have an option to enable your 3d accelerator.

One con for me is that usually one building is shifted, OBS this morning, now this:
The very vague messgage I received from the game is that hardware acceleration was not enabled (it is). It would be helpful if the game would provide some context sensitive info about what settings need to be adjusted based on the browser I'm using (chrome). Unfortunately, not only does the game not do this it doesn't give you the ability to change back to the flash version so you have to open the game on mobile to change the setting.has nothing to do with power from the wall .. its 3D acceleration in your graphics card and settings in your browser allowing it to work that way. check the settings on your browser and and graphics card to see if they are allowing this
That would be a bug if you can't. I just switched to HTML and back againUnfortunately, not only does the game not do this it doesn't give you the ability to change back to the flash version so you have to open the game on mobile to change the setting.
The game doesn't load if HTML doesn't work so you can't get into the options screen. Thanks for the permission setting - I do get that message. That would be a bug if you can't. I just switched to HTML and back again
Also just as a side note: at some point a update to the chrome browser changed how flash settings are handled. If you end up getting back to flash and if the version of chrome you have isn't saving your flash preferences you'll see this screen each time you log in:
Which can be rectified by typing in the following and disabling the "Enable Ephemeral Flash Permissions" setting
chrome://flags/#enable-ephemeral-flash-permission
