Quest Prize Chances

I'd like to propose that winning the special quest prizes be based a bit more on game play and strategy and less on luck. I've been brutally unlucky in the last several special quests, and I've even spent diamonds to get extra chances. I keep getting all the random stuff and never the key prizes, while other guild members get all the main prizes, SoKs etc. It really ruins the fun when I do everything possible and I still most likely won't get the full cherry blossom set etc. The quests should be fun, not frustrating!

I'm afraid this must be in the proper format. See the link in my signature. This ensures that all proposals get equal hearing and consideration. For now this will be moved to the forge hall.

The game seems to favor chance based activities (although they do have some quests in which you can win the main prize by completing it). I'd wager a guess that the chance factor generates more revenue for the game. Plus they tend to loathe making it a 1 for 1 basis in which you can just spend diamonds as that is part of the game balance. If you are guaranteed something then it makes it too easy for the diamond players to spend money to get things.

I have a feeling we've seen the last of the days of Easy Purchases.

I was in Colonial age and they had the 2016 Summer Casino,
I won 27 SoKs.
Also 8 Luaus, half-dozen Caravansarys, and at least 12 Reno Kits,
3 Pole Houses, 5 Ziggurats, 4 Rogue Hideouts,
Tons of other stuff, too.

I also spent close to $200.

The SoKs are the only items I'm using from my winnings.
I had my Luaus out for a while, didn't like them, then used Store Buildings to put them back into my inventory.

Because of that huge "Investment", I was able to hop, skip and jump my way through the tech trees.
Also leveling my Great Buildings to effectiveness.
I bet if I didn't dilly-dally around in Progressive for several months, and focused instead, I'd be in Arctic Future by now.
That's from start to almost finish in less than a year.

The contests are still pretty well-made, but the huge payoffs for savvy players might be coming to a close.

I miss my savvy player payoffs.

Luci all you have to do is click report post and write a short description for the reason no need to make a grand spectacle of yourself

To put some input on the OP if your new to these sort of games you must first understand that you will not always win everything for free if you really want the reward then you might have to be willing to spend for it otherwise you roll the dice and hope for the best.

Some events are based off "luck" others have a set reward for completing them. Most major events (like this one )offer a multitude of prizes you may not win everything you want for free but you may get some good prizes. Short events where you get the set prize for doing the questline only provide you a slew of resources (coin, supplies, goods, sometimes diamonds) and the one set reward for completion.

If you do stick around you will notice that the major events will have this gamble mechanic for prizes and the small historical quest will yield a set reward for completion of the questline.

Oh I think the Casino will be back. Yes you can win a lot if you spend a lot but if you play it wisely even free players can win decent rewards. The cherry event replaces the must complained about easter event (which was revamped and was even more hated) while the casino event gets less complaints over all. Well there's still the "i didn't win this sucks crowd" but I think Inno has pretty much demonstrated by now that isn't going to phase them.

As has been mentioned, we need formal proposals to use the standard format, you can find the link in my signature as well. For now I will indeed move this to the Forge Hall section for further discussion.
