Sister Guilds

Sister guilds have various uses but basically represent what most would consider the strongest alliance possible between guilds. Essentially if they are sisters they are generally run together (or at least with close consultation between the leadership). One guild's enemy is the other guild's enemy. They may share members back and forth etc.

There is no advantage in the game mechanics however. The game doesn't recognize sister guilds or allies automatically. Trading between sister guilds still requires members to be in the same hood or have each other on their friend lists. You can attack your sister guilds members in your hood unlike your regular hood. Of course your leadership may object to that attacking.

Okay, last question. I heard something about adding sister guilds to the guild forum, do you acually have to like combine the guilds or is it pretty much like being allies with another guild.

It's just having a ally guild. Often comes about when there's more applications to join the guild than there are spots in the guild. However like any other ally, there's the risk relations eventually turn sour or cold. It takes work to keep a sister guild in good relations with the main guild AND make sure the sister guild is able to support its own members growth sufficiently. If a sister guild is there because there's not enough room in the main guild then it needs to be able to give the same kind of growth as the main guild or there's no point in being in a sister guild
