Spink?

One of the higher age repeating quests is

A young red-haired girl told me about something she calls 'spink.' She can't explain what it is, but says I have to get one. Try to attract it!

The other strange repeating quests (fnord and R'lyeh) are literary references I know. The spink one sounds like that too but I don't know it. Does anyone know if there is a connection here?

fnord comes from the Illuminatus trilogy
R'lyeh comes from HP Lovecraft's Cthulhu stories

Well I just googled spink and all I got was a small bird in the Finch family and slang for someone who is part Asian/part Hispanic.
