As I am sometimes quick to criticize, I also try to be just as quick or quicker to applaud a positive thing. Over the past couple of days I was surprised with some very decent items in the Casino event, and for that I am grateful. Cheers.

Note: For those complaining about others complaining, this thread is titled, "Summer Event 2014 - Feedback". If you don't like seeing anything negative about the event, please feel free to read another thread, or maybe you can create one that is titled, "Summer Event 2014 - Positive Feedback".:)

one question now that I'm done spinning for stuff, what are the most desirable items that are available on the wheels??

I would say that most people aim for these: Wishing Well, Rogue Hideout, Watchfire, Shrine of Knowledge, Oasis, and Tiger's Den. Not necessarily in that order.

However, I think a better question is which item you desire the most? It's all about how you play, how you want to play, and what you believe will help you with your gameplay. Just like there are folks who aim for military units, some aim to get the items with the best graphics. We all view and value the items from our own perspective. :)

Good to know I didn't miss anything :) those were the things I was keeping an eye out for! ...the only thing that seemed odd was the amount of bps for babel and Zeus ! Guess I'll have to build them after all !

I was most exited about the ww and rogue hideout...because they advance with the ages, not sure if I'll ever build the extra military building I got:)

In the end, I did a LOT better in the Summer Event than I thought I was going to. Thanks FoE :) P.S., to all of the sarcastic responses to my Event posts; thanks for copying and pasting my comments so that more could read them, I knew I could count on the edumacated masses to make an appearance .

Now that the event ends three hours ago, what happened to the unused tickets? I was in the middle of using up the pile on one of my worlds when game midnight struck and I was locked out.

The event as a whole ended on the stated date, as soon as the timer counting down reached 0. Any tickets left unused would be lost.

With the Soccer Cup, unused bags of shots got converted into 2 FP packages. From the ticket in which I inquired what would happen to unused bags of shots, customer support indicated something similar happened the previous summer.

thing is though no tickets went to inventory they got added directly to your ticket count

With previous events one earned currency per the hour and could place that currency till the last minute, and everyone could collect that same currency from their own city (take the easter eggs, for example). So I believe the additional days were there to ensure you have time to collect any extra ones placed in your city that last day. And, once you've collected them, those extra days were your opportunity to spend them. With this event it was a simple questline, if you were away then you couldn't have earned extra tickets and you'd have nothing "extra" to collect or use if the quest portion was blocked.

I'll double check for info, but since with past event it was packages in one's inventory that turned into forge point packages, I'm pretty sure any unused tickets are gone.

All I want to know is.......Is the defense part of the Tigers Den stackable? This vital piece of information is missing from the details of 'special Buildings'.

If you have more than one just remove it's road then check in your defending troop area and see if the total defense changes. That said I don't see how it isn't since it stacks on top of my Monastery and Watchfires.

I didn't start playing FoE until just before the Halloween Event 2014, so I missed out on the Summer Event 2014.
So my question is: When will Summer Event 2015 begin this year? I am excited about it and looking forward to it.
Thanks!

Last year it was: Wednesday, August 13th to Wednesday, August 27th

Thank you MightyTiger. That is a long time to wait, but I'm looking forward to it. Thanks!

Last year we also had the Soccer event that started mid June and lasted for a month. However it was tied to the World Cup, and no world cup this year, so no telling what they will do.

tickets too expensive this year!

Please tell us what you think of the 2014 Summer Event.

I love the Casino Wheel Summer Event----it is my most favorite special event of all! However, I noticed that the tickets, if you buy them with diamonds, are substantially more expensive than they were last year. I think that is a bad decision, and it may come back to bite them! In the last couple of years, the tickets cost only about 60 to 70 cents each, so I was more likely to buy them with diamonds, and more likely to spend them. Especially on the "refresh and spin" option on the Wheel. When doing that would cost 1 ticket (the equivalent of 70 cents) I was more like to take the chance to change the Wheel, sometimes even doing it several times in a row. Or spending multiple tickets when the wheel had something on it that I really wanted. But now, each ticket costs $1, and that is just high enough to make me, and other players, more careful and more aware of how much each ticket is costing you. I won't be buying as many tickets, or spending them as freely, as I did in previous Casino Wheel events. Now you would think that the designers would be aware of that, since they want us to buy more tickets, not fewer. I think that if the tickets were cheaper, they would end up selling a lot more.
