Tried several different worlds, this simple bronze age city layout will be able to advance me to the Iron Age in 3 days without the future worries of stuck on the tech tree. Very few coins and supplies will be needed to build this city and can be obtained quickly after the initial stone deposit boost.
I don't own enough marble, dye, lumber or wine, however I can always trade for them as long as I have produced enough stones -
I left a lot of space open and expect to fill them up only after researching the Legionnaire Barrack and Plowing.
The best part about this idea is that no plunderers will be able to reach here because "Military Tactics" hasn't been researched yet -
Time to enjoy the cultural settlements.
