Tickets start a new game with 25 moves. When you run out of moves and decline to buy more it kicks you out to a screen where it's time to start a new game. This costs a ticket.
Tickets regenerate 1 every 8 hours to a maximum of 4. You should try to stay below 4 tickets at all times as most of your tickets come from this regeneration.
