The "Stop" button use to have some skill involved, but it was exploited. So now it's just there for looks and a placebo effect of skill.
With that said, I'm kinda disappointed with the summer event this year. It has a lack luster to it.
I see the wheel not get spinned for extended periods of time. No one wants to waste a ticket on the so...so prizes. I figure that once the one good prize is taken... no one want to waste spins on the wheel. Inno would of had it made more fun to leave it where multiples of the gold prizes was on the wheel, but once you got one... it is greyed out until the wheel is refreshed. That would give other people incentive to spin.

I noticed this too. Last year, Event History was full of notifications that the neighborhood goal of spins had been met. This year, it's not uncommon to only have 1 or 2 a day. The last few days of the event will probably see a lot of spins, with people using up their stockpiled tickets.

1. Please bring back the 4-per-square wheel next year...OR increase the number of times things like SoKs and Reno kits appear. Maybe things will get better as people exhaust their tickets and/or $$, but right now the sniping is pretty discouraging. It's not just that I'm not winning 4 SoKs per wheel - I'm not winning ANY. If the casino event were always like this, okay - but it is a major let down from the prior wheel mechanics. I thought this event last year was a blast, and now it's like drinking Korbel thinking you're going to taste Krug. Sort of. Okay, maybe not that bad.
2. Get rid of the 20FP and building set prizes from the gold circle (if you keep that). It's bad enough that there are a ton of bazaars and luaus and tigers dens to cycle through. Increase SoKs and Reno kits. How about putting some HoFs in there??
3. Building sets. Why? And why 2? I made one of my semi-annual appearances here in February to moan and complain about buildings that can be plundered but not put on a timer or motivated. These go against one of the fundamental tenets of FoE - collect on time. So, I consider them to be "unFoEian." I've only built them in one world - my BA world. They're very pretty. But they take up a lot of space and I don't like having my imaginary stuff plundered!!!
4. Please eliminate the big blue arrow and the neighborhood award notification. Someone asked what the purpose of that notification is - I'll tell you: it's like a gong for the wheel snipers.
That's it. No, I don't really have anything positive to say other than the building sets are pretty.

I would like to make a comment about the sets. I think that when we have them all as a set we should have the option to move them as one complete item and not have to move them one bit at a time. I have noticed that if you do want to move them as soon as you move one piece the clock resets to 24 hours again which is not good. So either do away with the reset to 24 hours or allow us to move as one set which is what they want us to build anyway.

I saw an sok day 1, spent my 3 tickets and didn't get it. Saw an sok one other time but was grayed out. Now I have 32 tickets and am waiting. I don't think I have any interest in either of the sets.

You can move a set without resetting the timers. Just takes a little extra planning. Set up the spot where you want to move them to an put down a piece of Stone Age Trail in the spots where each building will go. Move the first building and swap it for the trail and then swap the trail for the next building. Repeat until all buildings are moved. Since you are always holding something until all the moves are done the game considers it all the same 'move' action and the set is complete once you finish it. I tried this and it works.

I haven't seen that big blue arrow since it popped up on day 1. It went away after the first time I clicked through and looked at the casino wheel. Yours is still showing up?
As for the notification, I only ever got a pop up window like that the one time I was the 77th spin. Otherwise, it just appears in my town hall as an event.
I wonder why it's different for me...

Up to 1 of the elephant set and 3 maharaja sets. Spent nothing. I can't get more motivations at this point so I'm thrilled to get these sets and don't need any more soks.

I AM enjoying this event so far. One prize that should/could be added would be an expansion. Unless you are made of Diamonds, they are very sparse in my era. Offering one now and then as a prize would be great. Here's hoping.

I second that, I also think that the huge gaps between expansions as we get in the higher eras means that even the most active of us have to wait ages for another expansion with medals. I think a revision of the gap amounts between expansions would go down well.

Good job Inno, you put quest 11 of Questline two 4 days into GE which has the option "Scout a Province OR Complete Level 1 in GE", yeah okay we could wait four days if we wanted to use the option but really c'mon
Edit: Time for me to eat crow, upon opening this quest it in fact auto completed the GE portion as I had already completed it earlier in the week.

In theory, if you have level 1 complete by the time the quest opens up that requirement should complete automatically.
