50% less GE Diamonds? More Like 75-90% (3yr Data Sheet)

I kept data on each hit of diamonds I've received going back 3 years on my weekly play in GE in five worlds, completing play through level 4 in every city without fail.

MooingCat on his video showed in graphics that Inno claims 50% of diamond rewards have been "nerfed" by Inno from level 4.

What he's really saying is you've been robbed of at least 50% of the diamonds provided in your tacit agreement with inno to give them your time and trouble to make their inert creation active. It's a give and take proposition, always.

However, like most establishment organizations, this 50% loss claim is inauthentic.

I averaged 750 diamonds a week over five cities, with the low at around 400 a week and the high at 1100 in a week.

This week I took in 180 diamonds TOTAL from SIX cities played to the end of level 4.

To put it another way;
Every week for years I never had a city that didn't win at least some GE diamonds in GE each week - this week I had 4 that won ZERO diamonds after completion of level 4.

Major disincentive to play GE anymore as I'm not interested in level 5.

Way to go Inno. You've invented even newer ways to suck the sparkle and the fun out of this game.

All work and no rewards is a game that makes its players losers.

I am a founder of a guild and most of my members are discouraged by this change in GE rewards. Now my guild members have no real incentive to compete in GE. Personally, I made it thru GE level 5 by negotiating but it wasn’t fun. The rewards being frags! There was no real reward for completing GE 5! when I first heard that a level 5 was coming out, I was excited about it. I thought it would give people something new to challenge and in turn receive some new, great rewards! I thought that would give our guild some new to talk about and share experiences. Instead, all I’m hearing is disappointment, discouragement and people talking about leaving the game.I am not sure why INNO did not make additional changes and keep GE5 in Beta a little longer and make GE 5 something people were happy about and could get excited about playing. I don’t understand this business model of yours, INNO! I would think that you would want to retain your customers not send them running. Please make some adjustments to the prizes that make people want to play GE. We want level 5 to be challenging but we also want a reward worthy of the cost to play.

I'm all about taking on a challenge, but taking away good rewards and leaving a multitude of fragments with lackluster rewards seems like buying a extravagant pairs of shoes that are 4 sizes too small and cutting out the toe, heel and slitting the sides so you can wear them. Removing Diamonds as a possible reward in Levels 1 through 3 is a terrible idea. Newer players will never make it to Level 4 and will never see any Diamonds by playing GE. Great way to retain new customers: make it unattractive for them. And for experienced players, well I think the jury is out on this overreach. Coercing players to play Level 5 at significant costs in goods and diamonds is only fun for Inno. I really would like to know how Bozos come up with such bad ideas as this.
Really, the Guild Expedition format is old and stale, and should be simply junked for an entirely new concept. One with extended maps and explorations, not the very uninteresting, zero story line, and racist format that we have now.

This is an impressive body of work. That said, I think that you missed the mark when stating "However, like most establishment organizations, this 50% loss claim is inauthentic." Before the nerf, there were 18 chests containing a chance to win diamonds - now there are 3. If you revisit your data and calculate the average number of diamonds that you won per city per GE season I think that you will find the number to be approximately 162. After the nerf, the 3 diamond chests each offer a 30% chance to win 90 diamonds - statistically, the expected average winnings is 81 diamonds. I play 5 cities. Four of them are GE diamond farms. I'm not happy with the direction that INNO took with this nerf but understand that it is their game, not mine. They are free to change it anytime they want. It's one of those things that I serenely accept that I cannot change.

I had to correct the cost to negotiate Level 5 as reported by my guildy: it was TWELVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY, not 1245 as I originally wrote. I spelled it out like one does on a check, just so folks get the point. lol. This Level 5 nonsense is about income for Inno: they can keep it. Unless it is SIGNIFICANTLY REBALANCED, my guild will not be unlocking Inno's present Level 5.

I have mixed feelings. I have only finished GE5 in one city, and will probably only clear it in one more before the reset.

1) I like the shift in making the defense stats relevant. I think it's a bigger change than most player realize, as it's going to change the dynamic in PvP and 'hoodie attacks, as well.

4) Fragments. This is the single biggest shift that I find problematic, as it's part of a larger shift. Along with some of the UI changes, Inno seems to be using this to intentionally slow down the pace of the game. Look at the time required to work through this event, and look at the extra keystrokes they've added to daily collections with the new graphics. Everything is taking longer, both in the in-game actions and in the time to complete in days. No bueno.

This is an impressive body of work. That said, I think that you missed the mark when stating "However, like most establishment organizations, this 50% loss claim is inauthentic." Before the nerf, there were 18 chests containing a chance to win diamonds - now there are 3. If you revisit your data and calculate the average number of diamonds that you won per city per GE season I think that you will find the number to be approximately 162. After the nerf, the 3 diamond chests each offer a 30% chance to win 90 diamonds - statistically, the expected average winnings is 81 diamonds. I play 5 cities. Four of them are GE diamond farms. I'm not happy with the direction that INNO took with this nerf but understand that it is their game, not mine. They are free to change it anytime they want. It's one of those things that I serenely accept that I cannot change.

I had to correct the cost to negotiate Level 5 as reported by my guildy: it was TWELVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY, not 1245 as I originally wrote. I spelled it out like one does on a check, just so folks get the point. lol. This Level 5 nonsense is about income for Inno: they can keep it. Unless it is SIGNIFICANTLY REBALANCED, my guild will not be unlocking Inno's present Level 5.

I have mixed feelings. I have only finished GE5 in one city, and will probably only clear it in one more before the reset.

1) I like the shift in making the defense stats relevant. I think it's a bigger change than most player realize, as it's going to change the dynamic in PvP and 'hoodie attacks, as well.
