You will automatically receive these boosts in the world you choose to log into first.

All of your city boosts show up in the town hall. Boosts from GBs, event buildings, and in this case the special birthday boost. This is simply where the game displays the boosts a player has accumulated. So it’s not designed to be a secret at all.
