Maybe this will be something everyone already knows but were you aware that when you need to collect goods for one of the quests/tasks in the latest event, if you just do a trade, the goods you trade for count as acquiring the goods the quest/task requires? Sorry if this was obvious but I did not know and was psyched when I made a trade and saw that it counted toward the latest quest/task.

Roads also count as buildings =) If you use the wiki you can plan ahead most of the events. IE set your productions to 24 hours a day before, send your scout out etc.
