why is it necessary to be distracted by the constant Era Goods messaging? talking about the upper left hand corner besides the happiness level. it is nothing more than an annoyance and servers no purpose.

It's confirmation that goods were added to, or removed from inventory. It only lasts a moment and automatically erases itself. It's only a distraction, or annoyance, if you allow it to be.

It would be nice, if when collecting from the city, that it would show the total goods collected when Collect All is used, like other resources do. Instead it only shows the individual goods collected.

Having a total in addition to the individual would be OK too. I have gotten better at glancing at the list as it pops p to see what is being added. Knowing what the symbols for each good are helps too.
