Thank you Coolmite. Good know. Someone told me they take the top 4 guilds and divide up the 1st 12 to each of them and then the next 12. But my compiled list debunked that theory. Is there a source that actually lays out how they are grouped or what is known about it, just from observation and speculation of what players see?
First you figure out how many diamond maps there will be.
Take all the diamond league guilds. Our world currently has 33 diamond league guilds. Maps are 7 or 8 guilds, so with 33 guilds you get 5 maps of 7 and 2 plat league will be pulled into the diamond as 6th and 7th guild on the lowest map.
Say there would have been 37 guilds in diamond, then you would have had 2 maps of 8 and 3 maps of 7 guilds.

Then you start predicting who goes where.
Take all the 1000 LP guilds. Our world currently has 20 1000 LP guilds.
map 1 is 7 random 1000 LP guilds
map 2 is 7 random 1000 LP guilds
map 3 is remaining 6 1000 LP guilds + the highest below 1000 LP, we have 1 guild at 988 LP. If there's multiple at the same value, say 4 guilds with 975 LP, a random of those 4 would be paired with the 6 1000 LPs
map 4 is in order 7 diamond league guilds from 988 down. when the 7th is shared with multiple guilds, it's random again. E.g. we have 4x 975, 1x 963 and 3x 950. map 4 will be the 4 at 975, the 1 at 963 and 2 random of the 3 at 950
map 5 is the remaining 1 at 950 and further down, for us 1x 938, 2x 925, 1x 913. Then there's 8 sitting at 900 points and 2 of those will be added to the 5th diamond map

Would we only have had 32 guilds in diamond, we would have had only 4 maps with 8 each.
