[Question] Is it in bad form to let 1.9x friends snipe your GBs over your guild members?

DeletedUser31420

There are a couple of guild members who put in 3-5 fp on a GB, probably expecting to make an FP profit with their contribution. None of them contacted me saying they really needed blueprints, and I assume that putting in 3-5 fp isn't trying hard enough to tell me they really want the place. Would it be against FoE etiquette to contact my 1.9x friends once I self-level the GB enough so they could lock their places for a profit?

I may very well operate on a different moral plane with regards to GBs, but I don't see why not. When I build a GB, I want for it to be leveled as efficiently as possible. For me, the people who get priority are those who contributed the most, whether it be FPs, goods, or whatever else. And if you want to help them lock in their position, I contend that they've earned it.

The flip-side to this is that I'm a very active contributor. If I decide I want a complete set of BPs for a given GB, I donate as many points as I need to in order to secure a spot that will grant me BPs. I don't snipe; I donate over time so as not to cheat other contributors out of their earnings. But if I pass someone along the way to securing my spot, oh well. They should've tried harder.
