[Question] Military strategy for conquering the SAV continent

The SAAB continent was super easy: just use eight Mars flyers. If the enemy had no stealth or flying, eight Rocket Troops worked great too.

Questions for those who are experienced with SAV from Beta:

(1) What is the best use of earlier age units to get started?
(2) Does SAV introduce any new battle formats (like the urban terrain of CE or the two-wave attack of PME)? If so, what are the best tactics for dealing with them?
(3) Which, if any, of the new SAV units are useful to build?
(4) Is the enemy AI any different than in previous continents, so that Rogues might be useful?

On Map 1 you are fighting mostly SaaB troops, so Nails rule... towards the end of 2nd map you will see more and more of SaV troops and 8 Nails still kill everything. I didnt even bother to open the battle field...just auto and win :)

I wonder if your boosts are considerably higher than mine. I'm at +542% / +298%.

Fair. Early on, it seems that 8 SAAB Ranged is actually working a little better than 8 SAV Ranged in auto-battle for some reason -- less damage to the one unit that takes damage most rounds. I'm wondering if that is going to keep up on the second map.

Although it is a little beyond the scope of this topic, I am also wondering what unit combinations are working best for folks on the battles to mine Venus Carbon and in the Guild Battlegrounds, where Rogues are useful?
