Obelisk garden vs SoK

Is there any advantage to Obelisk garden over SoK? It seems to me that it should be less valuable, because it cannot be upgraded and has slightly lower coin production, but it buys for far more gemstones than SoK in the antiques dealer.

Thise values were set before the SoK had an upgrade. Plus the Obilisk Garden lets Cleopatra wander they city.

I'd say they're so close in value you're not even going to notice the difference in output between that and the SoK Lvl 1

The Obelisk Garden originally was a once off building before the introduction of Antiques Dealer. It's fine as a cheap building you can place if you just need to fill your city with anything you can find. And really, you're probably going to be replacing the bulk of your SoKs with something better than a Lvl 2 SoK before you get the chance to upgrade them to that anyway.
