Earning diamonds is easy. Winning a champion's retreat can take FOREVER. I will definitely shuffle in order to decrease the amount of time it takes to get some special buildings.

@Roy Fokker have you contacted support so they can have a look at how much the game is collecting from your cottages? If it is a display error there's a chance they'll be able to confirm it on their end

Do you get the cheap option if your choices are really bad?
Edit: I decided to punch it, not only because the choices were bad, but also to see what would happen. Would I be able to choose to shuffle again or do you only get one shot?
Also maybe Inno will decide 20 is better than 50 the more ppl use the 20.
So... you can shuffle again, but now the price is 40. My choices now are 30 forge points or 100 medals. Cheap option indeed.
