[Question] Winter Quest Rewards

I hit a 2X as a gift box, and my next gift was a "show 2". However only 2 prizes were revealed, not 4. So I assumed I would get a double prize on my next gift, which was 400 medals. I only received 400, not 800.

Is that by design ta I did not receive a double gift, o should I post a "bug report?

it is by design. The show two will not show four on a double, it does however double the stars that accompany the show two.

Here is the Devs answer to the question:
Edge case, which is not a bug, but intended behavior: If "2x" double payout is won, and then "show 2" follows it immediately, two presents are still revealed (not 4), but the stars payout is doubled.

Hello, I'm new to Forge of Empire, and wondering how I participate in the Winter is Coming Presents special or rewards special?

You must complete the tutorial and initial quest line. (capture Dunarsund quest is the last mandatory quest needed to access the event.

Any event quests that take place before you do this will become available then. And you can do them quickly until you catch up, then one per day till the end of the event.

My question is how do i skip a winter quest? im still in the bronze age and the quest im on is telling me i need stuff from the early middle ages... im no where near that. if i cant skip that quest then im missing out on a ton of stars for this even which is kinda unfair

There is no way to skip a quest in the Winter Event. However, the quest you are currently on, which asks you to build 10 trees, 1 cypress, 3 groups of trees, 1 ornamental tree or 3 urban trees, only really requires you to build 10 Stone Age trees to complete.

I would like to clarify, every event quest can be completed by every player regardless of their progress, and without spending diamonds.

So apparently , if you close the present bar or browser without picking a gift , and then go back to it , the presents rearrange and I don't know if the rewards are still in that same order ... if I saw medals at the top right corner before it changed into a present , but didn't pick it , and closed the whole thing and opened it again , the presents are rearranged ... but are the rewards still in their place ?

I could be wrong stefan, but I think that, when the game shows you all the presents being switched around just before it puts the wrapping paper on, that that's all forshow and has nothing to do with the actual position of the presents. Even if you somehow did manage to see which present was where just before the wrapping was put on it probably won't be there when you pick it. I think each time you pick a present it is just randomly picked from the remaining presents, regardless of where you click. The developers have done this sort of stuff before (though perhaps not this exact same thing), but the player base persists in believing that they can somehow outsmart a graphical artifact that has no effect on the prizes. People see patterns, even when they aren't there.

Well , I'm gonna find out tomorrow , today I video taped the whole thing and catched a frame where the reward image and the present image were overlapping (2 images into 1 spot) , so I assume the reward is where that last frame shows it ... but I closed the present bar before I picked a present , and when I opened it again , it rearranged ... so I ended up not picking any present. But tomorrow I will try again and won't close the bar before I try to open the good ones ;)

Whatever you see on the screen is just for show, once the board shuffle up the prize just randomly stay there in its slot once then that's it. There is no jumping around like you believe it is. Same thing happen with the casino you seen in earlier event. Best winning you can try is the bottom right corner.

Yup , it doesn't really work the way I thought it will , I had only 2 where they were supposed to be , the rest changed ... to bad the 2 weren't anything to important (2x , 14 stars) , I managed to hit resuffle twice , taped the whole thing 3 times already , and I still couldn't find the 50 stars ... I got a lot of nothing and spent 100 stars :mad:

Curious what everyone is holding out for ?? I am accumulating stars for the best long term gift and wondered if the watchfire is it..I know its only 4% defense but supplys ,forge points and coins are a non factor for me.I was hoping for a offensive item just like the watchfire is a defensive item.

When I got mine on the Easter Event , we used eggs to open the spaces for the rogues to be trained , and when we didn't have eggs (and after the Event was over) , we could only open the spaces with diamonds (I can only make 3 rogues in my Hideout because I don't buy diamonds) ... so not shure if you'll have the standard 2 spots open and then open the other 3 with diamonds , or you'll have to open them all from the first one with diamonds.

I don't need to open anything with diamonds. I'm strictly going to use it as a way to have my alcatraz generate infinite unattached rogues.

Oh the one thing that ticked me about the winter quest is that one day I opened my second box and got 2x. But since I didn't buy another 10 stars I got nothing. IMHO ...We should get the 2x the next day shouldn't we? Otherwise as stated, we wasted our 10 stars and got nothing
