This truely changes the scope of GvG for everyone playing. Most U.S. players are working during this time, and while some have the ability to play from work, many do not. Fighting has always centralized around recalc time because the shields are tied into recalc time. IN all honesty...it doesnt matter what time of day recalc is performed if you would no longer tie the shields to recalc and have the shields last a full 24 hours from when they first go up regardless of recalc. If you want even more involvement and more people playing throughout the day you could even shorten the shield duration to 8 or 12 hours. Any system where the shields are not tied to the recalculation time forcing all fighting to occur simultaneously would be better than the current system. Wars don't get fought on a schedule.

Ask yourself why this is the busiest time. If 7PM or 9PM had always been reset time, what do you think would be the busiest most "convenient time? I'm not trying to argue with anyone in this thread, I can really see the disappointment and passion in your statements, but I find it hard to believe a company would deliberately try to ruin a game. I believe they are trying to make the game better with the resources they have available at this time. In the future if this game thrives I'm sure they will do even more. Time will tell if this fix was a mistake and I'm sure they will correct it if necessary.

Wow Gastinay, nice charts and I did notice a few things folks.
1. This chart is from the United States Department of Labor. Why is this important, well let's just say, this is the US Server and based on the US.
2. This chart shows that 10am est., is the 2nd. highest time for people to work, only behind 11am est.
3. The chart shows 8-11 pm est., drops off to when people are NOT at work or working. While we all know some are. It is the biggest drop from 4-6pm est.

So, this means that INNO or "the game" was correct in choosing when the slowest part of the day is. It could be worse, it could have been #1 at 11 am est., but they settled for the second highest ranking time for people whom are in the work forces. Hint Hint, INNO and "the game", even Casino's whom want people at all hours of the day to play the game in the Casino, know how the people who pay their way really are and the target audience is, that will spend money to play games. Hint hint......

Please take note that in my proposal of placing the calculation time back, look and see what is happening or the trend that is happening. More and more people are coming out with fewer and fewer posts to put in their two cents on it and vote. If INNO and "the game" wanted more people to come out, then they succeeded in getting people to come out for a cause. Still the trend is for it to be placed back to where it was before. There are your numbers for you and less than 36 hours since posting, already 3 pages of "feedback", now show me other posts that have gathered this much attention so quickly. Please tell the powers that be, they messed up and fix the real problems at hand. FIX the servers and give us back our FUN TIME with our GUILDMATES.

Papalon - I could accept a change close to the original time in the evening. But there is a HUGE difference changing it from night to morning.

It has been brought to my attention that this change to the calculation time is causing quite an uproar. And that some are very upset by this time change. I am one of them and would like it to be rescinded if possible.

Talk about a non-fix. Instead of addressing the problem and solving it you just change the time it occurs. Makes no sense. Please, Inno, fix this problem!!!!!

The majority of players do not play GVG.
The majority of players do not use the forum.
Most every player is affected by server overload.
If the change helps alleviate the server overload then its a good thing.
If it does not help then something else needs to be done.
Changing the time shows me that Inno is trying to improve the game play for all.
That is my feedback.

I can tell you that at calc this morning a few of us took 2 sectors in TE and there was 1 defending.. so call this 4 total fighters. every single one of us crashed at least once and 1 person as many as 4 times.. the lag was no different that as if it were at 8pm EST

Yes, but with less people overall fighting there are less people affected by the lag, which is a win in Inno's book.

If you aren't GvGing, how could lag possible bother you? We aren't talking about an fps with constant action, we are talking about a low resolution town, city building, collecting, and chatting. If I wasn't fighting, the lag wasn't even noticeable most of the time.
So, since the lag affects the active players, players that are most likely to want to be competitive, and are also most likely to spend money on the game, you still want to argue this isn't important? If you lose the paying players, no more free game....

Again, thank you for you being the only person whom from "the game" will respond on this. I greatly appreciate you taking the time in doing this. Kudos.
Still, these RULES are as SET FORTH from "the game" and as such, "the game" supersedes the forums, as the forums are just an extention of the as for mentioned GAME. As such, it is therefore, mutually agreed that any and all rules that apply in a standard game situation are therefore stipulated in a forums setting. Conclusion: The use of caps applies to this as well, due to "the game" superseding "the forums". Sorry, did I get all legal on you there.?
I would love to hear from "the game" on this, or are they still in a quiet period, figuring out what to do and how to do it.? # 227 posts later and we still are all in limbo.
DISCLAIMER: I, LordStevie, have NOT broken any and all rules as set forth by "the game" and am only exercising my rights by and under the players agreement provided by me and for the direct use of this game. My only intention is to get back what this game has robbed all of it's players of, is fun for the fighting in GvG for the United States Server. Period.

The rules says you can't use all caps in the in game chat. That's all it says, there's no rule against using all caps in game messages, in your profile, or anywhere else. I've asked the CMs for clarification and I'll take appropriate action when I get that. If you want to pursue this topic further please start another thread on it. It's not fair to others to derail this one.
