Easter Event Feedback

DeletedUser3679

Add me to the (small?) list of players very satisfied with this year's event. 3 hideouts, 4 renos, and 3 soks, along with some other things that I really don't need. But I did not spend any money, so like I said, very satisfied.

DeletedUser23123

I could say pretty decent too. 3 Worlds
4 Hall of Fame
3 Shrine of Knowledge
2 Rogue Hideout
3 Shrine of Inspiration
2 Shrine of Awe
8 FoeBerge
1 Witch Doctor
3 Bazaar
165 in Forges
20 Medals
9 Color Guards (Deleted)
5 Drummers (Deleted)
4 Color Camp (Maybe Later to Delete)
4 Wishing Wells
5 Wisteria Trees (use to delete later)

My feedback is that it was an overall 'meh' event. Yeah, I got some good things (without spending any money), especially SoK's. But all the quests followed the same pattern of other events, and there wasn't anything that really engaged any extra interest in the game.
My only real complaint was that none of the event buildings had any value for us higher level/long time players. They all were only useful to newer low level players, and there's nothing 'interesting' about them. Color Guards aren't going to be used at higher levels. The Foeberge Shop is just another supply building. Deco's like the Wisteria can be used to complete the quests, but that's about all. And the Shrine of Inspiration is rather pointless for anyone who 'aids' others daily.
So I'll take the 'free stuff' that I got, but I really hope to see something in future events that shows more effort to keep it interesting for more advanced players. Put a little more creativity into the quests and special event buildings!

I think this game is the only game that has the ability to make events that leave me disappointed even if I get some good prizes. I think I got 3 WWs,a SoK, and SoI in the one city I finished and of course junk. I got mostly things I didn't want. It has been rare for an event to end and me to feel, wow, that was a great event. Normally I feel, someone else must have gotten all the luck. It happened once in my main city for summer event tht I remember doing well. But, hey, this is similar to gambling. There is no skill in pushing the button on the chest. There was no skill in getting eggs. Seems like I must have gotten max eggs in all of my cities EASILY (only one I didn't finish because I can't negotiate 2 sectors on that short of notice. I could have paid diamonds to scout, but the chance of getting something worth 50 diamonds just isn't likely enough for me to waste the on it) It is just if they set the code against you or for you. Of course, I don't suppose they really did that, but it FEELS like they did that. Would I have done the event for 3 WWs and the shrines? Maybe since the quests were easy. However, I am not sure it is worth it to do the events the way they are because it leaves me feeling disappointed because, like in this city I finished, I saved all these eggs to go for the rogues and ended up with ALL junk, nothing I wanted. Like I said, this is the only game that I know where they can have events and leave one winning some good things and still feeling totally disappointed and it is mainly because the events tend to be based more on luck than on any amount of strategy or skill, and if you don't happen to be lucky? Well, get ready to be disappointed. I probably won't be here playing next year so it probably won't affect me, but if they had simply had things one could buy with eggs instead of only have the chest option, I would have been a lot more satisfied with the end results. I preferred the quests to hiding eggs.

Of all the crap I got in this 2016 Easter event, buying only gold chests, I got 2 buildings I wanted. A Shrine of Knowledge and a Watchfire, and I got a Reno Kit, which was nice. I also got a Wishing Well (that I won't be using space on), and 10 buildings I won't be building. The 5 color guard camps for obvious reasons, the 4 foeberge shops because if there's one thing I don't need more of in FE it's supplies, and the Shrine of Irrelevance.

If this had been my first Easter event in FoE, I'd probably be satisfied with it. But it isn't, and I'm not. If the Summer Casino event gets the same treatment, Inno will have seen the last of me.

You just play for the events then? I would not have guessed that...

I'm in FE, and have completed the tech-tree. My guild on my world is ranked #1, and has been for a long long time. We've reached level 50. Sure - I may stick around for FFA, even if the Summer Casino gets turned into just another lame event like all the rest of them (Winter excluded, although it too was nerfed). Inno's changes to FoE are contributing to a growing dissatisfaction with the game though.

ok it seems that some people actually got some useful items...me...this game hates me...I kept getting OB bps...oh I did get 1 foeberge thing and guard camp...both of which I could do without.

DeletedUser8152

Sure, I don't mean to imply it is wrong. People play for what they play for. Just from what I know of Glarg I would guess he would keep playing if they stopped doing events all together.

Is it reasonable to assume that the Victory Tower will remain as the final Daily Prize for the last 8 hours of the event?
Or is it possible there may be one more different one appearing at midnight server time?

I would not be surprised if there is a new prize. We should know pretty soon, when the European servers tick over.

OK, it sounds like the prize for tomorrow's half day will remain the victory tower.

This is how it was in the beta as well, except with witch doctors.

Can you please remove the "announcement" thread? This is one of the most annoying, waste of space. With the complete waste of other items to go along with it "must now click to leave a convo", "guild message"...this is the worst one yet. This announcement thread only started when this Easter event started. Please remove it when this event is over. Thank you - LQ

(This is getting to the point of not playing the game any longer. The only benefit of change has been the AID button).

Virtually constant events, I for one feel jaded, it is making the events less and less relevant, as there will be another one along soon. My inventory is filling up with things that are not worth the space they take up in my city, The special troops buildings from the Easter event are of little value, when I battle in pvp or gvg, I love to be faced by drummers or color guards, easy meat. Please Inno make the prize worth my time

DeletedUser15809

this easter event was a joke why dont you host events where the players work to get specific prizes not this by chance crap

Am I the only one who ran out of Easter Quests four days ago....I haven't been able to get many eggs, except for the 15 that my town hall produces. Is this a way to make people spend money??

DeletedUser25273

Yes, the Quest stopped a few days ago. Greva announced that she was done, and that was it for the quests. They have given us a few more days to spend any eggs we had left, and to make people guess if they wanted to wait for the next days prizes or go for the current one.

In a single city (I have several) I now have the capability to build and train 35 attached Color Guards.
