Here is my plan for maximizing Celtic Glassworks in the current event: 11 cities (including the quick one at the beginning), and a short one at the end. Festival and ship to level 2 on city 1 and 3; level 3 on city 2. All other managers stay at level 1 except for flowers (level 2). If I see that ship and festival at level 2 is taking too long to complete the 11 cities l will adjust festival and ship to level 3 on city 3. My hope is that the time skips from rival challenges will speed things up enough for me to keep both cities 1 and 3 at level 2. According to my calculations this will give me 200+ tasks for the main building and allow me to purchase the full set of chests 7 times. The level 1 glassworks should show up approximately twice allowing me to skip spending gold on chests 4 times when it doesn't. Any thoughts on improvements?
Update 3/6/24: Running all my managers at level 1 going forward, except for Drinks which I keep at 0. I started spending some pots on the second set of chests if the level 1 glassworks is one of the potential rewards. Not opening more than 3 chests on the second set though. I figure 50% chance at 350 pots is worth the investment since it costs a minimum of 1,550 for 2 glassworks per city from the first round of chests. I should still have more than enough tasks to hit 200 since the rival challenges make it possible to complete all the tasks on the active city.
Update 3/17/24: Final result is 10 level 2 Celtic Glassworks. I bought 3,100 pots of gold with diamonds that I had saved up, so this puts me somewhere around 850 pots per Celtic Glasswork level. All in all, I am pleased with the results and am glad I chose this strategy.
