Historical questline: Isadora Duncan - Feedback

DeletedUser26150

Yer gonna quit because this WAR GAME had an optional Event regarding a non-war figure?

Pack your bags, we'll not be seeing you for long!

None of INNO's Events have anything to do with war. Many of the weak minded did not like Columbus day because of the wars that followed, see the funny thread in Debate Hall. I suppose celebrating soccer is warlike. the crowds get rowdy sometimes...

Or do you celebrate Christmas, Valentine's, Halloween, Easter and all the rest by going out and starting a war?

As far as not liking the central character, sure. You can show your didain by posting, which is all good. You don;t have to do any of the quests. I guess it would be nice if there were an opt out feature for you.

Just curious but do you get offended by all the non-war tech and buildings?

I get offended when an IDIOT is idolized.

Ms. Duncan was among other things an ATHEIST, & a COMMUNIST.

There are far many more intelligent people that could be given the limelight.

Halloween is also known as "The Day of the Dead", a pagan holiday. Christmas and Easter are just pagan rites Christianized.
Valentine's is a Hallmark holiday, that they designed to sell more cards.

Veteran's Day, & Memorial Day I will celebrate.

I dislike and am very offended by INNO having a May Day celebration as that is a holiday celebrated by SOCIALISTs & COMMUNISTs.

I do get offended when the non-war tech overtakes sensibility.
I do get offended when a war game starts to resemble SIM CITY.

I am sure I am not the only one. I know there was a prior post where someone mentioned being sick of another quest line, so soon after finishing the last one. Holiday items should be out of the ordinary, rather than an everyday occurrence, or they start to lose their meaning and significance. Lately we have seen things go from one holiday to the next. It becomes tiresome after a while.

This is not the first game that INNO has put out, that pushed their country's socialist views on the world, as if we wanted them.

I don't.

Fair enough. You don't like a lot of what this game is about and are complaining about it. I'm fine with that, opinions are tough to argue. I disagree with some stuff, I'll be happy to elucidate, but shan't waste your time if you're not interested.

I do want to state one thing. As long as these Events are set up the way they are (random rewards leading up to a prize), I don't plan to participate unless there is a darn good prize, like a WWell. Not because of any philosophical difference over the subject of the quest, but because the prizes aren't worth it.

Because you know it has to be done, and you know it has to be me...

I'm not sure if this was a result of complaints elsewhere (I couldn't find them) but I REALLY like the fact that you can immediately proceed to the next quest stage once you finish the current one. One thing I really disliked about the Mayday quest was that you were "paced"; i.e. you had to wait until the next day to do the next stage. Given that there is a time limit to complete the test that made things much harder (since not everyone has the same amount of time available to play the game each day).
I have not been around long enough to know whether Mayday was the exception or the rule, but I am glad to see the Duncan quest move away from that.

Agreed completely. Silliest thing in May Day Event? Couldn't earn the deco until after May 1. Like the silliness of earning a graveyard in November... Please keep this change, INNO!

So? Atheists and communists celebrate new years. Also, Yuri Gagarin, subject of a recent event, was also an atheist and a communist (well a communist at least) and I'm sure he celebrated May Day. Of course May Day is also an ancient pagan holiday that's been celebrated for thousands of years. The May Day event in FoE was for the latter. I don't recall maypoles being a part of the May Day events held by communists and labor unions (or so I'm told ;)).

I don't know about you Mardenicvs.. but I see Forge of Empires as a HISTORY game.. not just a WAR game.
and it was the spokes of a CAR tire, not a motorcycle.. seems you COULD learn something from this event after all ;)

...

The FP intensive, I still see.. especially with it being 11 FPs required instead of the max timer hold of 10. So those who hop on once a day for a short period can't even complete a task a day without having to either buy more or use FP packs... DAILY.

...

I do GREATLY appreciate the no wait portion of this event.. but, it seems inno plays 2 events.. those where things need time like complete techs, scout provinces, etc are required, and you're free to move at your own pace... and those with faster quests but you're limited to so many a day.

I have to say I like half of each... let me move at my pace both in the game and on events.. scouting, claiming provinces/etc, and completing techs all force my hand in progressing. Forcing waits between quests screws the guy who has a business trip the last 3 days of the event.

You designers dropped the ball with this quest line. I'm stuck on #5 in two worlds. Forgetting this one. Oh well...

Make people enthusiastic? Unless you are getting almost all your happiness from Great Buildings, it would seem that if you have enough to keep you from falling into angry at times, you should be able to hit enthusiastic at times, especially if you ask your guild/friend to focus on polishing you for a day.

I find not being able to be enthusiastic for much of the time is a sign that my city has gone out of balance, and I need to build more happiness.

Yes, if your city is very non-traditionally built, sometimes the event quests get rough, but that is one of the costs of being non-traditional.

The event required 118 forge points and was available for a week. Without any perks of any kind, everyone gets 168 forge points every week.

You might have gotten stuck if you didn't look ahead on the wiki to see a couple of the longer activities (like scouting) and didn't have something to enhance your FP production. Since long scouting goes with higher levels which tends to give some higher production, it less likely to have been a problem.

I don't read these historical quest lines...I do the ones I want...just to have something to do...but as noted already there are quests reg and special events where the rewards are laughable...ie
pay 250,000 coin and 250,000 supplies - reward 100,000 supplies or you get 100,000 coin whatever. the quest expects more then the reward is worth at least in the beginning when something like that happen they actually applied the joker to it ....haha joke on you sort of thing. Now this type of joke is just irritating to the max.

Actually, that is a pretty useful quest, especially if you have a few levels on your chateau. Sure its a bummer to get 100k coin as a reward, but it's more likely to get better rewards like goods, forge points, or larger amounts of coin/supply. And when you do get coin or supplies, it applies to the collection coin/supply quests if you're running them simultaneously, which leverages to more rewards.

Since producing 250k coin/supply is pretty trivial in FE, you can use this quest to get a lot of rewards. I think it is more efficient at producing goods than actually building a goods building, for instance.

Also, it is a Rinbin quest, if that helps :)
