I have a villa at lvl 4 but I never got any barbarians. Is it really true that you can get special units from the villa?

You need to be in EMA I believe, as they show up as part of the EMA Bonus questline.

And when you get to Indy, you get Braves. Used some of them on GE lvl 1 this week, just because...why not? Some died. Who cares?
