Incident Feedback

Yeah, I have 4 cities on the US side and three get the incidents but one does not. I contacted support to ask if it was everyone or just some.
This is copied from Announcments

"Since our performance check on Beta provided limited information, we want to verify the feature's impact in the live environment as well. While doing so, we we want to make sure that it's not hurting any area of the game (mainly your activity as a player). That is why we will not activate it directly for everyone, but for randomly selected group of players. So please do not worry if you don't find anything special in your city at the beginning. If we confirm that everything works as expected, we will activate the feature for everyone/. Gathering data will take at least two to three weeks, so we would like to ask you for patience".

So, this better go well or we'll get suck with the UK version, The Daily Challenges". Believe me, you don't want that. It's awful and too time consuming along with a waste I heard of tavern silver.

Some of our cities just have to wait it out cal
From what I've heard we'll be getting the Daily Challenges at some point. I think they're being tested in Beta. I'm looking forward to them, and they're optional, so anyone that doesn't like them doesn't have to do them. Kind of like GvG, GE, PvP, recurring quests, abortable bonus quests, events, and so on and so forth. Don't like it? Don't do it. Simple. :D

OK Calladia, I'll come clean...It IS a conspiracy against you and a number of other players not to have incidents...regardless of your loyalty or how much money you have spent on the game, INNO HATES you......Yessiree, you and a chosen few are being targeted to miss out on the massive rewards the rest of us are enjoying....

You guys are soooo missing the point...First of all....I never said I felt entitled due to using real money...and you better hope B1ackWo1f that people stay "stupid enough to spend real money on a fake game" or else you would see YOUR FREE gaming change dramatically. You're welcome. 2nd, freshmeboy, I never inferred there was any kind of conspiracy or personal issues. You all do know how to read what's written before you...right?

My point was that a Beta test should be a small group....this is not...this is "90% of players get TONS of free crap....10% get zip". That's not fair whether you're playing for free or paying.

And the fact you don't agree with me or think I'm ridiculous for complaining....I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S.

Other complaints I have: Monsanto, Donald Trump, forumtrollswholookforpeopletohateoncausetheygotnothinbettertodo, Styrofoam, child abuse, forumtrollswhositinmomsbasementclickingbetweenFOEandasianporn, Racism, Sexism, Ageism, Weightism, forumtrollism.

I'm sorry, what I should have said calladia was, spend that much money that often. Though I could care less whether or not this game is free, if they decide to make it fully pay or don't play in the future then I'll just stop playing, I have other things in real life that are more important to spend my very little money on then an online game. And I also have many other things that are better than this to entertain me, so if I happen to lose this one thing I'm not going to cry about it.
And we're not getting tons of free crap, the "incidents" we are finding are worth less than what you get in the treasure hunt.

Two flaws here. First, no one is getting TONS of free crap. One collection from any of my cities is more than I've gotten so far from 2-3 days of incidents on 3 worlds. Way more. Like not even in the same universe of numbers. Second, you have no way of knowing what % of players are getting Incidents right now. You are extrapolating anecdotal evidence, which is questionable to begin with, onto the entire spectrum of FoE players. That would be like me saying that since 5 of my 6 siblings are female, then 5/6 of all humans are female.

Pertaining to the Incidents:

So far I like it, my only issue is they seem to have coded it so that the incidents are clustered instead of spread out, I think it would be better if they were spread out.
If the incidents really are timed like I've heard then yes it definitely would be better to spread them out.
If they aren't then I guess it doesn't really matter.

And I would like clarification on whether or not getting the next incident is dependent on getting the first one that pops up.

So far I have been enjoying "Incidents". It is ifun to find a variety of treasure hunt prizes in my city scape. And the ones that I have been finding are really interesting. I have found a large tree, a variety of tents and campsites, a shipwreck, dinosaur bones, and the most charming one: a little boat at sea, with a man fishing off the side. The boat was bobbing around and was very cute. And when I passed my mouse over it, suddenly a very menacing shadow appeared in the water underneath the boat, dwarfing it! Was this a sea monster? I loved it!

Seriously, with some of the Incidents, I would have preferred to keep the building, rather than the reward! How about the designers make some of these Incidents decorations, so we can place them in our cities where we want?

As for the rewards themselves, most of them seen to be pretty tiny. Most had only tiny amounts of coins or supplies, like 40 coins or 50 supplies, or 2 goods. A few of the others had a handful of medals. Now I like the "Incidents" but I do think that rewards should be greater. 40 coins is pretty paltry to be bothered searching your city and surrounding wilds for.

Regardless, the idea is good, and has made for an interesting sideline in the game.

I am loving the INCIDENTS - I hope it stays and gets added to the mobile also

I've been playing since November 2015... I notice I average around 5-7 incidents a day but I usually win 150 coins. I just think that coin payout is ridiculously low.

Maybe so, but if I were walking down the street and saw a dime on the ground, I would reach down and pick it up and put it in my pocket. Free is free. :D

If it is a road block one, do the buildings on that road stop producing? i.e. I collect my various building rewards and 5 seconds after I exit the game a road block goes up. When I log back in 4,8,24 hours later to collect my buildings, have I lost all those potential building rewards?
No it will still collect your building rewards. It doesn't disconnect the road itself

Is there an issue with Chrome users? my guildies are getting tons, got a message stating it is happening , and withme zippo-nada

I believe it may take some time for it to be available for everyone. Have you had the message of the in incident instructions come up after logging in. I believe that it was said 2 - 3 weeks for all world's to have it and for it to be available for everyone. I will double check though

Sent the following to support. They told me to put it here. So, here goes...

____

Consistency in what to look for makes things easier to find.

That and not having random "incidents" in a city with skyscrapers and all manner of stuff. I can't even find all of my collectibles for the stuff that I place, let alone the stuff I didn't. Fortunately for me, I can move the stuff I put in the wrong spot.

Bottom Line:
"Incidents" gets a thumbs down from me.

It's bad enough that this *bleep* is hard to find. Worse still when it's a couple of coins & supplies. Trust me, at CE, I don't need them. The reason I put up with these unneeded "rewards" in GE is team spirit.

____

Plus, there's nothing that I'm aware of that triggers it.

During the events that have stuff out in the fields, the things in the fields are triggered when an event quest is completed.

This "incidents" thing is effectively like telling someone to go out to a farm, 'cause something (maybe a penny, maybe something else) might maybe stuck in the mud somewhere in the acre of farm... Then again, maybe not. Keep digging up the acre of mud to see if it's there or not.

Seriously, this thing wasn't thought out real long before the rollout, was it

I absolutely LOVE this part of the game. This is the first event in a long time I've enjoyed. I like the random finds, and look forward to many more. Thank you for this great event.

Sorry you do not like this part of the game. I absolutely love it. I enjoy finding stuffs in my city, especially the boat in my Traz. Hahaha, much fun to me.

We want this live for everyone please. :) Will be glad to see that in 2-3 weeks.

Side note: has anybody seen SoS incident? I haven't gotten that one.

Yes, I have gotten it often. Love finding it and the boats and clothes lines. Hoping to get the one with the hippo. I appreciate this event, it is far better to me than any of the past ones. This is FUN.
