Perhaps this mythical left, as I've never met anyone who identified themselves squarely in that corner appears unhinged because their neighbors elected a bombastic, narcissistic, master of his fathers donations, serial philanderer, as President. And now reality TV is now being played out for the world to see with America playing the role of the bumbling fool villain.
This is what's funny to me. They're so overwrought they'll no longer even talk to their neighbor or go to their barbeques. Just opposed to anything and everything because, well ... Trump! It's hilarious.
More frustrating is the thought they chose this for us because they couldn't bring themselves to vote for a woman Clinton.
Oh please, I know you're smarter than this. People couldn't bring themselves to vote for a Clinton. Full-stop. Her genitalia had nothing to do with it. That couple raped and pillaged their way through 8 years of the Presidency once, no way I was giving them a second bite at that apple. Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate, Vince Foster, ovenights in the Lincoln bedroom, one scandal after the other, Hillary at the center of them all. They were just winging it then. Now, 20 years later, having perfected their craft, with the sham Clinton foundation selling access? No way. No f'ing way.
However that is not true, as most Americans did vote for Clinton when faced with that choice despite what he keeps telling himself and anyone who's still listening.
Trump won the race they were in. Hillary won the race they were NOT in.
When you look a nationwide map of the county by county results of the 2016 presidential election, you see a vast sea of red interspersed with blue dots. You look at the dots and you can see there's Detroit, that must be Houston, LA, San Francisco, they're all there. So the Electoral College worked exactly the way it was designed. It kept the population in the metropolitan centers from completely overwhelming the voice of those in the less populated areas.
It's why we live in a Republic and not a Democracy. The Electoral College is the compromise that created the nation and has kept us together for over 200 years.
I can understand why people vote republican and if I try really hard I can almost understand why someone would think to vote for him. I liked Sanders for the same outsider of the party nonsense that's ruined our elections for years. I cannot understand how now, seeing who he is and all he has done and tried to do, every American, no matter who they pulled that lever for isn't calling for his resignation.
It's not like we had a choice. It was Hillary or it was Trump. No way on column A, so I guess it's column B.
What has he done, or tried to do, that every American, no matter who they pulled that lever for, should be calling for his resignation? Seriously, be specific. What has he done or put into law that has been, or will be harmful to the nation?
Even in the midst of their demise,
Trump is not in the midst of his demise. If anything, he's well on his way to re-election.
Every other sitting president had a decorum and general concern for the welfare of the nation.
Only a fool could think Trump was going to bring decorum to the office, that ain't Trump. But how could anyone for a minute doubt that Trump does not have a general concern for the welfare of the nation? Securing the borders, renegotiating bad trade deals, supporting veterans, tax cuts, everything are all from his general concern for the welfare of the nation. That Trump ran for President at all is from his general concern for the welfare of the nation.
Trump and his anti media, anti 'left' anti facts mantras are toeing the line of actually asking for civil war. Everything is a travesty and a witch hunt in his eyes and he gets in front of crowds of supporters, national broadcasts and twitter to tell everyone that virtually nightly. Anderson Cooper may talk some trash but he isn't the president of the USA with the nuke codes in hand and Great Leader Kim, or RocketMan whatever he is to Trump this week on speed dial.
The media has been a disaster for years. Having been on the inside, and the focus of it's wrath on many occasions, no one know this better than Trump. He knows their ways, he knows how to get around them, and he uses that skillfully to his advantage. He makes sure that he controls the narrative.
The right shows up to political rallies to hear speeches, then peaceably returns home when it's done. The left marches in the streets, shuts down traffic, shuts down speeches, overturns and burns police cars, loot businesses, beat people senseless for their choice of hat, shirt, or bumper sticker, and are lauded on social media for denying others service. Antifa? BLM? You may be right about civil war, but it is the left and their violence and rhetoric that will bring it.
Seriously, with the Kim Jong Un thing. You're going to try to discount that Trump got North Korea to the table for face to face denuclearization talks? 'Cause a quickly escalating North Korea was such a fun ride, right?
