You keep saying this, but it isn't true.
...and even if it is true in some sense, it's at best a partial answer because there's more than one way to define "losses" in this game. Certainly efficient production of goods, fps etc is one way to measure success and failure, but this is a competitive game and the most obvious and direct competition is PvP. Some of us don't like to lose those battles, period; we determine whether we won or lost by whether we--wait for it--won or lost. For me, anyway, this has almost nothing to do with whether a successful attacker is able to take stuff from me. I have plenty of everything. I just don't enjoy losing. Winning in that sense pretty much requires a powerful defending army, at least against top offenses. I find my +744 defense to be sufficient almost all of the time.
