Feedback for Cultural Settlement - Polynesia

Why wait until QI has been going on for a week to give players a hand by releasing the updated cultural settlement buildings? Would think this could have easily been released last Thursday along with QI start.

Now the 10 hour production has been expanded from QI to a new settlement, along with a 5 hour and 20 hour production times. INNO obviously wants every player's eyeballs on the game for as long as possible every day.

the 5/10/20 schedule is probably intended to be more relaxed. i.e. not that you show up after exactly 20 hours (most people won't be able to) - but that anywhere from 20-24 hrs is fine without collection time drifting later. Basically you have 4 hours to "waste" at some point throughout the day without wrecking your schedule.

There was nothing wrong with the previous timers of 4 hour, 8 hour, and 24 hours and players could easily show up 3 times a day and keep close to 24 hour schedule. Not possible to really avoid slippage of several hours each day now with 10 hour timers vs. the 8 hour ones.

I will complete my 2nd play-through of Egypt tomorrow. Should I put Egypt on hold and work on Polynesia, or should I finish Egypt? The Polynesia building gives more QI boosts than Egypt so is Egypt still worth playing? How is Polynesia compared to Egypt? Is it easier or more difficult?

Polynesia is basically Vikings with no roads if you've done that one.

Notably Polynesia is Red-Only boosts while Egypt gives Red-And-Blue. So it may depend on what your guild needs you to do. In a small guild, it's probably everything (Egypt is a good first one to finish). In a big guild you could split up into red-specialists and blue-specialists (it's more efficient to do so if you need to hit high boost numbers for late difficulties; aqueducts cost more coins, supplies, and space if you only need one color of boost). And then backfill your other-color stats later.

Egypt will give good building but Egypt is imo the absolute worst of the cultural settlements to play. can't stand!!! the stupid battles with crappy units with 0 attack boost!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 3 fights a day. And if you know what you're doing, the 2nd fastest settlement to finish a run on, while requiring the least number of runs! Egypt is by far my favorite settlement.

And Mughals are the worst to play (imo). Slow and not much you can do about it.

There is no chance its the second fastest to finish a settlement on. Could easily do viking a week faster than egypt on the first playthrough for example without even trying very hard. Japanese is probably close to 3x faster and the Aztec is definitely faster also. Only one that might be slower is Mughal but its a close thing between those two.

I did a first run Egypt in 12.5 Days. And last run Egypt is well under a week if you care for it to be because both the loot you earn from fights and the goods that you make with it get the x4 multiplier chance. If you did a first run Vikings in 5.5 days that's darn impressive (or expensive)!

I'm pretty sure I had to work at it to just get gold on vikings and I spent a little diamonds at it (where I didn't see a reason to on egypt). I'd say 14 days for first run Vikings and 8 days for last run Vikings.

If you did the first Egypt run in 12.5 days you were spending significant amt of diamonds lol
Here is the official chart for finishing the different cultural settlements:
Even the official timed rewards you get for the cultural settlements show that Egypt takes the longest and its not really even close, well except compared to the viking because you need to do a lot more playthroughs but viking would still be faster if no diamonds were spent on either.

Aprox: time for all settlement playthroughs using time for highest number off fragments for the extra settlement buildings you get as a timed reward

202-viking-first playthrough 16 days-about 202 days overall

Japan 14 days first playthrough- about 144 days overall

Aztec – 18 days first playthrough – about 177 days overall

Mughal 23 days first playthrough - about174 days overall

Egypt 28 days first playthrough -about 219 days overall-as you can see finishing in 28 days on the first run in Egypt gives the max number of fragments for the extra building-claiming to do it in well under half the time is just stupid and if you actually spend thousands of diamonds to do it then that wasn't a very smart use of resources lol
Spending lots of diamonds to rush the settlement and then claiming that Egypt is second fastest due to that is a nonsensical claim too.

This is all you do on here is harass other players and complain about everything , you are a waste of air lol .

Mooingcat demonstrated in his videos that it certainly is possible to complete an Egypt play-through in 7 days, although he was on his 23rd play-through when he recorded the videos and had already maxed out the 4X chance. I followed his videos for my first play-through but could not duplicate the time cuz I could not hit any 4X.

Its not harassing anyone to call out those that post nonsensical claims. I guess according to you one should just believe it when someone says they can do something that is highly implausible, especially when they make the claim in reply to something I post. You like to complain about others but then do nothing but come on to 'harrass' anyone who criticizes someone's comment you don't like. Its not even that you can dispute what is being said most of the time, its simply that you don't seem to like what the post says lol

The player xivarmy claimed to do the first run through Egypt in 12.5 days. You think that is possible without massive diamond infusion? I sure don't buy that. Also, imo mooingcat is far from infallible and a bit of a know it all to boot imo. can do better in St. Patty's day event for example by doing my own strategy rather than following mooing cat guide.
