What version of Excel do you have ? Let me know that and maybe how you'd like the conditional formatting to look, and I could help you with how it's done, if you want to of course.
See that is what I thought and tried to do, although I used an empty row under the research tree. It didn't work. The box stayed red. I'm not sure what was wrong. I can put in the inventory list in the research worksheet easy with the formula =Table!$C3 . Dragging that formula down will copy the entire inventory list. I couldn't get the formatting though. I'll attempt Excel 2007 tomorrow and see if I can do it on there.Indeed, you can't do conditional formatting across worksheets. However there's a workaround
