I like the Castle, I would like to see a nego and attack counter when I open the castle, top section would be nice. If you can show us before doing a nego the points you make for a successful nego, fine, it doesn't have to be a counter, it can be pts for next successful nego and pts for next successful attack. I can get the info for negos but I cant get the info for attacks. What I do now, I look at my castle points, attack a neighbor, then check to see if it increased. Sometimes when I play, I get interrupted (RL) and when I come back, I don't remember exactly where I was with # of attacks.
Now, decreasing the tavern costs versus the amounts requested in daily challenges (event quests too, coming soon) is fine with me. With all additions to the game, there are tradeoffs.
I think the Castle has brought more life to Daily Challenges, Negotiations, completing GE and now the tavern, you have to think, a little.
Two tricks have been mentioned for daily challenges
1) to not get "spend tavern silver" have an active tavern boost running - Razor
2) to not get "acquire campaign map sectors" have no open provinces - in some other thread, think it was Uber or Ebe Asi

To get attack and def (attacking units) from a building outside the city is a GREAT feature (plus the other goodies it gives). Even better, you really don't have to do anything new, maybe you ignore DC's and you still can, you just progress slower. Maybe you never negotiate, well you don't have to, you just progress slower. So, some may need to adjust how they play to get more CPs quicker. Any calculations involving the AD, not worth doing, just consider any CPs gained, a bonus. Same for diamond purchases. Now the amount given to those that buy diamonds is significant, ok by me.
