My mistake, I was trying ot link to their posting history, but that thread was the one I was referring to.

The two rants are not identical. That one only had 7 question marks in the title. This one has more.

I guess times are tougher.

Yes, very true, but, I personally am not a fan of that event as the odds of getting a complete set especially at level 2 are rather low and from what I've see of the event so far this year's is going to be even harder.

True carnival is the easiest event to lose out on if you're not careful with the event currency but even then, you don't need to aim for a full set. You only need 1 or 2 other pieces for it to give goods. The questline itself guarantees the middle piece plus one other piece of your choice if you complete all quests
