[Guide] Cosmic Raven's Version of Heavy Questing

DeletedUser29289

Thanks for all of the responses, i appreciate it. This is my first account and my character is 6 months old. I have been a little great building greedy i guess. I also was very invested in the CoA LV6 before i found the HQ guide and i do plan on getting rid of the Babel Lv3 i dont need the pop and have not added any FP to it in a long time.

I guess my focus right now is just lv 5 on all my buildings accept the babel and then to save up enough to tech rush to Colonial age. I will probably be staying there for a long while, especially now that i have the HMA champions retreats.

Is it necessary to have a LMA chamions retreat or am i good with just a HMA Chamion and CA Champion.

Is it necessary to have a LMA chamions retreat or am i good with just a HMA Chamion and CA Champion.

oxrin, CR has recommended that players have a HMA & LMA Champions Retreat for use in GvG.

1) When I advance to LMA, should I just hang out these as I would have in HMA, or should I try to go foward quickly to CA and make all my gains and such there?
I'm guessing I can hang out without too much trouble and practice my HQ methods.

2) If I'm hanging out, I didn't see anything about which are the best LMA buildings to go for. Any advice?

hrnyarssub, you should hang out it HMA for as long as needed to gather all the necessary FPs, Goods, Coins & Supplies that are required for the tech sprint from HMA to CA Clockmakers. Your progress will slow dramatically if you jump from HMA to LMA without being prepared for the complete sprint to Clockmakers. Just to give you a quick estimate, it takes 1331 FPs from the end of HMA to Clockmakers & you should have a stockpile of at least 8m Coins & Supplies to cover the sprint & city rebuild(s).

It's up to you if you want to stop in LMA to quest for diamonds, but many skip that & go from HMA strait to Clockmakers. If you do stop in LMA, then you'll need the same type of buildings as you need for HMA or any other time period as the RQs are the same, just different required amounts or buildings.
For instance, there will always be 3x different Produce Supplies RQs. In HMA, this means that 1x PS RQ requires 2x Alchemist, 1x requires 2x Farms & since there isn't a third non-premium HMA supply building, the last PS RQ requires 2x Alchemist & 2x Farms. This holds true in LMA as well since the Cooperage & Brewery are the only standard supply buildings, so plan your LMA RQs around this. I've noticed that the military RQs can mix different unit types together, meaning the unit types paired together in your current time period may not be the same that are paired together in the next time period, but you'll always need 4x of 2x types of units.

With that in mind, after having moved to LMA for diamonds, I've realized that I made a critical error by deleting all my Alchemist before starting the LMA RQs. For all those that are planning on stopping over in LMA to quest for diamonds, I recommend that you keep your Alchemist & use those to complete the 40k Collect Supplies RQ until you get the diamonds as they're more efficient than Breweries. Once you get the diamonds from that RQ, then start your rebuild for the rest of the LMA RQs.

Greetings Cosmic Raven!

I registered in this forum to say thank you for you amazing guide and to report a weird thing that happened to me: on my sprint to Colonial Age (with a stop in LMA), I have managed to unlock the 2nd recurring quest slot without trigger the bonus quest line from the princess! I was a bit surprised when it happen, since this possibility was not referred anywhere else. I’m not sure if this is important, but I could try to retake my progress to understand what trigger this situation.

Anyway, thank you again for your work!

Im in HMA and have the following great buildings.
CF, Hagia, ST Marks, LoA, CDM, Traz, Arc, CoA, Zeus, Babel (eew)
Also i currently have 48 Alchemists and 12 houses with an excess of 500 population but am only able to complete the gather X amount of coins quest twice daily. I got rid of a few reward buildings and stored a kiosk in order to focus 100% on quest looping.

I'm in HMA as well. I'm also a newer player than you are, maybe 3 months in? I have all the GB you have except CDM, Traz, and Arc. I only have 36 alchemists, and an excess of 350 pop which I expect to get down to 30 shortly. I have stored my hedge maze and not built out all my palace and elephant sets yet. (I have some pieces up, but not all.) I have space allocated for Traz. I'm 1 bp away from CDM and Traz, and I have all the goods needed to build them.

I am able to do the gather coins quest probably 6x a day? I pay rinbin every time I cycle back to the produce 2 saltpeter quest. I get some fp packs, but not many, average 2-5 a day.

Get all your GBs and town hall ready for pickup at the same times. That's how I complete several gather coins quests. Also, I get to 25% of a gather coins quest just aiding my neighborhood, not counting my friends or guild mates. Be sure that quest is on when you aid.

I want to get an Inno and feel like i will be pretty much set after that, none of my GB's are very high level since iv spent so much getting them, with the help of a few generous players along the way.

I want an inno, too. I couldn't have done this without my guild. My highest gb is a lvl 5, most are about 3. It takes time to level.

I feel like i have a low FP production and am progressing more slowly than other players around me. The quest loops i go through every day rarely provide me w/ 5fp packs, i am rewarded with more supply packs than i could ever need. My supply's currently double my coins. I only have 3 sok's down and have not been able to win during this summer casino.

I did win 2 HMA champions retreat which is something to be thankful for.

My supplies are at 1.5 million. My coins are 200k. CR said the imbalance would happen so I'm not worried. I only have 3 SoK's. I have one SOI and 3 SOA down for the coins. These pesky coin boosts you can win off the wheel? They stack. I currently am about to do my big coin pickup of the day, and with these boosts I won off the wheel, my SMB, and the smallest tavern boost, I'm going to be generating 300% on my coin collections tonight. I'll do the math later, but it's probably around 80k I'll pick up.

My daily fp collections are:
3 from town hall
2 from lords manor
2 Hagia Sophia
6 from 2 luaus
8 from bits of summer event palace set
1 from bits of elephant set
3 SoK

That's 25, plus 24 that we all get hourly, plus any that I win in quests or ge. I won 4 x 5fp in my saltpeter questing today. I won 35 total in ge a little while ago. (I have another 15fp/day on the way once I build out all the elephant and palace sets/pieces completely)

I'll hold off on the 5 packs, but that's still 84 fp today without them, 49 without ge.

I have a daily trade partner for 10fp, and others where I'll let them know what I've put on their gb today and they reciprocate. I've put 100% of those fps I got today on other players' GBs. At least 70 of those 84 are direct reciprocal payback from partners. I'll get fp packs as when their GBs level. The other 14 or so are without direct return, but on GBs where I'll certainly get some fp packs when the gb levels. My fps multiply like this without even having an arc. I've got 300+ fp saved in 10 packs.

Maybe you should list out exactly what fps you are getting daily, and then where you are putting them. That might help you figure better how you're doing.

Where should i go from here. I feel like it is going to take for ever for me to grind all my great buildings up to level 5 to start and then to 10 and INNO dosnt seem to be handing out SOK's for free. Is it getting to the point where i am going to need to replace some of my alchemists with FP producing special buildings?

Yep, it's gonna take forever. This isn't a quick process.

SoK is nice, sure. But I didn't have one until a couple days ago. Most of my fp production is coming from event buildings and GE, but I don't think you should sell alchemists to make room. As you add expansions, simply add the fp buildings. I'll be doing the opposite, adding alchemists as I generate more room since I have the fp buildings going.

While I say that most of my fp production is coming from special event buildings and GE, I'm prioritizing making it *effective*, and could not do that without good trading partners. The whole thing would be crawling at a very slow place without them.

I think you're doing fine. Just don't build any more gb's for a while, lol! Just level the ones you have.

Raven and other players,

I have rushed through tech on my first play thru of this game and now find myself at the end on IA, ready to jump to PE, before first reading your guide. I am unaware of repeating quests, in a noob guild that does not do PVP, spent some real coin for expansions, and now realize I am in a bad place having missed much of this game. In my spot, can I go back to HMA and CA to recover what I missed? Or should I start a new game? Is there any benefit to running multiple games?

Thanks,
Casimir.

The only thing you missed game wise is some quests. If that's important for you to experience you can always open another world and take your time through the questlines. If implementing this strategy is your goal instead you can still do that on your main world by stopping all advancement on the cMap and Tech then catching up the Story/Bonus quests until they reach Recurring Quests. Then clone your city like the Borg of HQo_O

Thank you for responding and for the additional information. I'm going to stay in HMA as long as I can. Judging from what I'll need to get to CA I'll have to. I only have about 55 10 point FP packs saved.

Speaking as a person new to this, I confess it's a bit of a scary concept to turn everything on it's head. But wow, I'm just starting to build up my Alchmesits, 12 currently, and have already done the produce 2Xsaltpeter 6 times and have scored more rope than I can make in 24 hours in a production building! Starting to convert all three of my cities to this strategy. Set aside the fears of the unknown and give it a try. Even on a tiny scale it's impressive and fun.

Wait until you get that Chateau. It is astonishing how that accelerates things. I've had mine a week and I'm in love! I'm glad I decided to give this method a go.

I am glad you and Hmyarssub are enjoying HQS. I am nearing the end of my stay in HMA and to go from barely anything to now having a city that is picking up quite a bit of steam is something to behold. Currently, in my city, I have 52 Alchemists, 1 Lords Manor, 23 Town Houses, LoA (lvl 5), StM (lvl 5), HS (lvl 6), CF (lvl 5), CdM (lvl 4). In terms of quests completed in a day, I do the following: 26xProduce 2 Saltpeter, 4-5 Collect 25000 coins, 1 spend 38 Fps. I naturally generate from GB and FP bar generation 33 FPs a day. I have all my diamond expansions up through HMA and have enough to buy the 4 expansions for LMA and CA when I do my tech sprint. I also am within ~1800 medals from the next victory expansion which is the 5000 medals one. I am about 975 FPs from having all the FPS I need to jump and I am saving ALL of my 5 and 10 packs. I am currently trading with a guild mate (I am in the same guild as CR but I am trading with another quester that is in Indy) 30 FPs a day to his GB for prints and he trades back the same amount. Currently, I am working his Inno tower and he is swapping to my CF to get to level 6 and a 100% bonus so my rewards are double what the base is. Also in terms of GB that I will be placing when I get to CA, I have full prints for Arc, SoZ, CoA and I am working I am 4 prints from having a full set for Inno Tower and 1 away from Traz. That will give me all 10 Core GB that I will be able to place the moment I land in CA and have the available land. CA is the best time for questing and I will have all 10 of these buildings at level 10 when I get out of CA.

Also for the event, I was able to score (so far) 6 SoK, 4 Rogue Hideouts, 3 Champ Retreats and a variety of other prizes. I hope this inspires you to the things you can see in your own cities and like CR I am available for questions anytime.

Do you really have enough diamonds for all the expansions already just from quest rewards? How much do you score from GE? I've been holding off until getting a really good diamond offer (apparently they go up to 150% bonus) which would cover expansions for the rest of the game then any diamonds I get from quests/GE would be whatever I feel like diamonds. Have you done every quest for diamonds since BA?

I have done all of the BA, IA, most of them for EMA and HMA. I also do routinely get diamonds from GE as I do level 3 most of the time now sometimes I do level 4. Also if you have a CF when you do get a Diamond reward will give you more based on your CF bonus. Diamonds can also be won from Other quests as we'll. I ONLY use diamonds for land expansions and I have bought them as I have gotten enough diamonds from whichever source I have gotten them from

Thank you. I've only been tracking my quest collections since Saturday. I'm curios to see how much I gain as I build more Alchemists and the CF. Even in this short time, finishing less than 2 score of the various quests, mainly 2xproduction and gather gold, I've already scored 40 fp and diamonds!

I just added to my 12 alchemists to 20 so I'm looking foreword to being able to complete more in each cycle.

Each quest type drops diamonds only once, right? I know it will repeat the fl packs, which is fantastic.

A few quick questions as it relates to your strategy, CR.

I have a city that is sort of chilling ready to make the leap to CA from HMA. I have the GB's you prescribe as well as others and am looking forward to when I have the additional expansions to put down new capabilities.

1) If I had the ability to get goods for a reasonable price, would you advise putting down a Dynamic Tower? You've made several mentions of the value of advanced age goods as it relates to FP. Again, if the price for the construction goods were right, is it worth putting down DT to strategically aid buildings for advanced goods and then sell those for FP?

2) Thinking about Arctic Orangery and Cape Canaveral. Would you recommend building one instead of the other? Both?

3) If all of the other GBs were at Level 10+ in CA would you advise against building any of the above?

Thanks in advance.

Im in hma and the second reaccuring quest giver is somewhere between LMA AND CA on the C map. Can I unlock this second "bonus" quest giver now?

I plan on being here in hma doing quest loops for a while and then staying in CA for a very long time as well, but i would like to get more out of the quest loops that I'm doing now if possible.

oxrin, the second RQ slot won't be available until you complete the LMA story quest & the Princess Myciena quests. It may sometimes become available for a short time between the LMA story & PM quests, but then it won't be available again until the PM quests are completed.

Could someone explain the FP Swap Partners to me? I figure it's where you find someone and you each put FP's on each others GB's. Is that all it is? How do you find people who are willing to do this with you? Also do you know of a guild out there who would help someone who just started out and is only in the Iron Age? Is there a trick to finding these or is it just luck of the draw?

It seems it's not required to complete the Princess Myciena quest chain.
I'm in LMA and I have the 2nd recurring quest slot, but I have not even started the princess myciena quests.

Yes that is all it is. Some people do the same amount every day, some people do different amounts each day and message each other to let them know, some people do bulk transactions to lock a certain spot and are done swapping until the building levels and repeat. It's up to you, your level, your playstyle. I found partners on my friends list. When I started as a noob on E world I sent friend requests to every player I saw on global chat. A few of them that accepted happened to be highly advanced players. Later, when I decided to really double down on getting full sets of BP for GB, I messaged many of the top players from my friends list asking if they would mind swapping with me on certain GB so I could get BP from the contributions rewards, etc. Most of them didn't reply, but two of them did and I got full sets of BP for probably six different GB within two months. Of course, this only worked so well for me because the buildings I was aiming for, like Arc, Chateau, Traz, are buildings that most top players have in the levels 50+. I was able to "lock" 3rd and 4th spots (and I use quotations because the players were actually really nice and contributed a lot of their own FP to the building so I didn't have to put as many on to keep my spot) on these buildings and still get 5+ BP per level that I swapped on. I only did 20 FP a day and these buildings were leveling about once a week for both players I was swapping with. It helped my FP reserves in my inventory grow very quickly as well. This also gave me a reputation of trustworthiness, so these same players also helped me out with late era goods for FP swaps in order to construct my Arc at a low level. Now that I don't need to swap for prints, one of my previous partners went on to help other noobs, and I swap with lower players who are also trying to get BP from contribution rewards.

CR mentions that while swapping you need to be flexible with your partner. Sometimes you (or your partner) have unexpected competition from another player and might need to put a bulk contribution down to lock the spot. After that bulk payment, one of you would take a few days off from contributing while the other "catches up" on contributions.

Finding decent swap partners is basically luck of the draw, but as long as you're polite and not demanding, you should find one without too much fishing. Just make sure whoever you approach about it is on your friendlist, or that you have an invite ready to send to them, and that they have as many buildings you want prints for as possible. You don't want to jump around to different swap partners if you don't have to. I don't have a guild to recommend to you specifically because I don't know what world you're on.

Thank you for your answer.

I guess this is something I can't do yet then because I'm only in Iron Age and don't have any GB's for them to put their FP's on. I am striving for the CF first. It seems that anyone I find that has a CF also has the other basics so I wouldn't have a GB that would interest them. I guess I ah e to get at least one GB first and go from there. I have found that not a lot of people build the CF so that should work in my favor.

By the way I'm in Norsil, so if anyone wants to swap, coach me, or just visit feel free. I'm sorry if this doesn't belong here. Is there a place to go for things like this?
