Along the lines of medals losing value I seem to be collecting a lot of tavern silver now that I have upgraded everything in my tavrn. I know I COULD spend it on various boosts but it would be just to spend it not to get something I needed.
Do people far up the ages have tons of silver lying around? I'm only in the Industrial Age and I have something like 45k of it. I can't imagine what I will have if I ever make it to one of the Future ages.

I don't want to de-rail this thread with my questions not about the soccer event. Is there a place where things like the usefulness of certain items or where ideas for new rewards are tossed around? I can't seem to find one.

Gotta a question...are the tholos upgrade kits going to be one of the daily rewards or can you only get them from goals?

I doubt that the Tholos upgrade kits will be a daily prize. As stated, it wasn't on beta (but that can change). It is also the first event that is forcing people to spend diamonds on acquiring the #10 building upgrade (bought diamonds or saved or WW farm world's, doesn't matter).

I feel like it's Inno testing the waters, so to speak, to try and see if more people will spend money on diamonds for it. It's a powerful building, like the PoH and GB, so it's alluring to spenders. If their data says they make more money overall because people spent not only to get multiple copies of the ToI, but also smaller spenders trying to get the #10 upgrade, than we can expect more events like it, requiring diamond spending. If not, then they will probably go back to the PoH and GB layout, allowing F2P players to get a maxed building and spenders just buying multiples.

Well, boy am I disappointed to say the least. Lol

It looks like somebody at last minute heard bout soccer cup in Russia and cookie chop cutted an event game. I would have at least liked a progress bar number percentage maybe? While I'm mindlessly kicking a ball down a field and wondering just where exactly I Am from ze goal.

The greatest allure I had to uber special buildings was the start of it last year, The Black Tower for Halloween...then Christmas!!!/ Winter toned down came and even a Fatty like myself could juggle a strange large set of tables of vast foods and many moose that have been slain.

Then, something magical happened!!! It was here! The footprint of the sok had been topped!!! Crowds cheered and roared across worlds as a new era approached, sadly yet again, wasn't the colonization of the moon..

Now we get this " impossible to get this " building with a fancy guise but really the soks in this event is where it's at.

You're not entirely correct with your Soccer Event daily special percentages, most likely your data is incomplete. The soccer 2018 event has 10 players, each with a percent chance of winning the daily special. Here's the complete breakdown.

2 Players - 7%
4 Players - 10%
3 Players - 15%
1 Player - 20%

In addition to the players, there are 6 goal shots that also carry a percent chance of winning the daily prize.

4 Shots - 10%
1 Shot - 12%
1 Shot - 18%

I think your overall point still stands, the daily special percentages are low. However yesterday, when the Wishing Well Shrink Kits were the daily special, I completed 3 goals. While the majority of 'prizes' I 'won' from the players was the same old junk we've come to expect, I did win a total of 5 shrink kits, with the 18 or so shots I took.

My biggest complaint overall is the other prizes, with the higher percentages, contained in the chests. It's a bit disappointing to see that everything else in them can be easily obtained, every week, from level 1 GE. You'd think, being a Special Event, they could have done a bit better.

Has anyone used these on a Fountain of Youth yet? I'd like to know what the result looks like. Aesthetically FoY is one of my favorite buildings, but since I won 5 of these in one city, they may have to go on a diet!

On the PC version there is a graphic under the Next Goal prize that shows you relatively where you are on the field.

Yes, someone did, it worked, but it was directly labeled as a bug.

The little star showing the kit can be used doesn't show up above the FoY. I didn't try clicking on it though.

I shrunk the one WW I have and when I tried to activate another kit, it told me I had no eligible buildings for it. That’s pretty disappointing.

I must say that while a few of the prizes such as the wishing well shrink kit is a nice addition, the overall structure of these events have become the same and disappointing, where a lot of effort is given but few rewards are acquired that are worth much. Back in 2014, the soccer event provided the opportunity to acquire lots of valuable prizes, as did most all events, and that had granted the players a huge advantage over players who just began playing at this time that won't get that opportunity unless they're willing to shell out huge sums of money for diamonds and buy their prizes. The summer casino event is the only event that has remained pretty much the same ( though we'll have to see this year) but even it has implemented limitations to the number of the preferred and cherished prizes a player can acquire.
I'm also surprised there are no fan shops (supplies + happiness) that came with this event in prior years.
